I've got Bryce's that I have yet to try. Been steeping for 10 days. Order some Grant's to see what it is all about.
I have three drippers loaded with custards 24/7 now and find it best if I burn my coils and rewick every 2-3 days.
As stated custard is a lite flavor but with many nuances that start fading as the coil darkens, I don't let it even get close too gunked up.
I also keep a great Black and Blueberry cheesecake from ITC on hand to cleanse my palette between switching custards that works great. I've found if two custards are vapes back to back some notes go missing.
Barbchris - please list those bottles in order please, some aren't easy to read. Heck even include notes on each if you have the time.
Barbchris- yes, thanks a lot to take the time to list and give comments.
I'm not so far into my custard obsession you are at, but I'm heading there.
The Bryces is one I've been researching the beck out of, everything tells me to go with the pudding over the custard.
And seeing your preferences I just may have to.
I have someone in thier custard addiction will to split a 120ml bottle of Bryces so we can get the high VG option without investing so much on a juice we had never tried.
So if it was you would you say the Vanilla pudding?
Also since many custards are high VG BLENDS how did the 50/50 compare in this case?
I'll be reviewing your list more as I do like to try new juices and ones rated high from seasoned tasters.
Btw try Just Vapes- Divinus Custard over at GV it's just amazing imo.
Also was the Big Willie's you tried the 50/50 version or the 22/78 pg/vg version?
I rated that one higher as a more simple juice but bigger on flavor than most, so I'm wondering if the VG could be a reason I liked it more.
I also have Alloy Blends Blonde wich many rave about, but while it's good it's not a reorder for me. They just came out with a high VG version but only in 3mg.
I wonder if I didn't like it as much being a lower 50/50 blend in my drippers.
Btw I'm addicted to custard if you can't tell![]()
Just to mention about alloy blends..
Blonde is good. Not epic, not gross. Im a bit of a custard fiend myself, and to me, Blonde is one of the custards I put with a bunch of other custards that I can vape when my main steeze runs out, and while it wont be the epic vape Im craving, it will do the job until that epic liquid comes back into my life.
BUT.
Vented. from alloy blends.
OHHHHHHWEEEEE!
It says its an RY4 type.. honestly RY4 is more meaningless than "vanilla" these days, so don't get turned off by it if your not a tobacco vaper. I vape some tobaccos, and Vented is NOT a tobacco flavor. It is a caramel cream with hints of brown sugar brittle. If they called the liquid a caramel cream surprise, it would be accurate. Thats the beauty of RY4 liquids today.. more often than not, unless it comes from a company known for epic tobaccos, then its usually going to be a sweet dessert vape. Ive got a box full of RY4s, and not one of them tastes anything like the tobacco liquids Ive got.
Sorry to derail slightly.. I mentioned it because if you like custards, Vented is in the same vien. The flavor is different, but the feel of the vape is very custardy and rich. Vented is actually one of my mainstays. Its one of the few liquids that I CANNOT run out of.. Like I panic when I get below 100mls.
Oh and here to keep this on topic..
Brothers Reserve, Sir Mac. Ive had my bottles of this for about two months now, and I just re tried them the other day. When I first got them, GV had just launched them so I imagine they were brand new. I thought it was alright.. sorta funky aftetaste now and then. Meh.. tossed it aside.
Tried it again about two months or so later.. WOW.
Creamy custard, one of the heaviest vanilla bean notes ive ever seen in a custard, and a hint of cookie crumble/bakery crust on the finish, which totally drives home the vapid desire to take drag after drag.
there is a ton of great custards out there.. and no two are ever the same. try as many as you possibly can.
-But nothing can beat the original.. the king.. the epicness of epic.. the original custard, Grants. Vanilla. Custard. 110% worth the effort it takes to procure.
I am @ just over 2 weeks with a bottle of ITC Heaven's Bounty a friend sent me. Set it aside & now, I too think they are worth another look. Steep brought out a ton of flavor.I've tried Nicoticket's Creme Brulee/CLS, Bryce's Banana Cream Pudding/Vanilla Creme Pudding/Vanilla Custard, Grants Vanilla Custard, and several other less-than-memorable ones. My favorite is Grants, followed by Bryce's Banana Cream Pudding (which is superb). I will try the Nicoticket again but may not reorder. ITCVapes was a pass for me until I tried my 2-week aged Heaven's Bounty. Now I really think they're worth a wider sample.
Since a tobacco custard was mentioned earlier, I'd like to throw another one out there for anyone interested in a smoky vanilla custard. Ripe Vapes VCT. I didn't like Nick's Smoked Custard much and didn't think I'd like VCT when I received it in a sample box but this stuff is great. Not superb, not amazing, but worth a shot if you like tobacco and custard.
I've only had it for one week so I'm going to let it age another few weeks before I throw it in a tank again. Vaping it off an Origen V2 with ssmesh wick at the moment and it's very good. More tobacco flavor, but doesn't taste burnt at all like other custards often do on ss mesh. Might be worth throwing in a genny in a few weeks.
I am glad that I am not the only one getting the "sour" taste off of Grant's but I heartily agree.
