So I've been living pretty content with my MVP and its lack of replaceable batteries but it looks like I just upgraded to the SVD here in a few weeks since fasttech had a deal noone should pass up.

Now it looks like I'm gonna need some batteries and a charger.

My guess is I have a few weeks before the SVD even shows up but if anyone has a good deal on quality batteries that will run in the SVD let me know please.

Like I said I'm in no rush but I definitely want to have some charged and ready for the SVD when it shows.

Thanks!

Just make sure you get IMR (Li-Mn construction) batteries. They are high drain batteries and can deliver the current needed to power your mod safely. AW IMR is good for stacked 18350 operation. For 18650 power use the AW brand, Panasonic CGR18650, E-Fest IMR, or the MNKE brands. Those all get good rankings. Cheap protected batteries such as the Trustfire, Ultrafire, etc. may at times fail to work if your current demands get too great (high wattage or high voltage).

Personally, I wouldn't try to skimp on batteries. I only use AW IMRs, and I actually pay a little extra just to get them from a vendor who I know sources them direct from AW. There have been a lot of knock-offs appearing on the UK market recently - not sure if you guys have a similar problem in the US. The Efests also get good reviews, but I can't really comment on those.

The charger I use is a Pila IBC - I can't fault it and it charges to 4.2V every time. Other brands to consider are Xtar and Nitecore.

Hope that helps.
