There is no best.

I'm over a year into this. Tried manual batteries and hated them, so I stuck with automatics. Tried cartos, but got tired of the funky taste after 3 fills or so. Tried clearos, but got tired of the leaking. Tried dripping and I loved it... Until I killed 2 batteries at work because I wasn't able to finish a full session. Tried the eRoll, and I love it. But it lacks the punch of my other batteries, even though everything else remains equal. I'm now about to order a bottom feeder, even though it's a manual, because it meets every one of my desires in a device. Hopefully I love this one enough to stop experimenting.

I guess my point is, until you figure out what you want and need out of a device then you won't find the "best". Just find what meets your needs.

You can if you buy a vv grand, but otherwise no - they are pure mechanical devices. You control the vape by making coils that fit your liking.

Sub ohm means less than 1 ohm.
Nowadays we just use higher voltage.

There are no safety issues - there is a hotspring that acts as protection in case of a short in your atty and drops - disconnecting your battery.

This is common to all Reos.

Well as stated im still pretty new, so all the "vaping lingo" u r throwing at me is just a little overwhelming lol, im a heavy smoker (cop in the military, can u blame me? Haa) what i would like
Though is something with an "easier maintenance" not having to tear down my mini daily to clean it etc etc, the reos are cool because of the whole "on board liquid dispenser" i really want something that is "semi easy" maintenance, produces a great amount of vapor, good powerful throat hit, and lasts a long time, as i sit in a cop car on 13-14 hour shifts

For low maintenace, consider a carto tank system; throw out the old carto and pop in a new one.

Provaris and Reos are both American made - backed by a guarantee, so it's really a choice as to which you like. There is no mechanical Provari and the electronics in them are looking rather dated now, but my old box mod keeps on!

lol - sorry Bad~i have nothing nasty to say about a Provari, but i can't be arsed with tanks and all that stuff!

Mechanical mods (reo grande, nemesis, among many, many others) don't have safety features built into them so you have to know what is safe and more importantly, unsafe to do on them. They don't have variable voltage or wattage or any other features regarding electronics, it's just push the button, complete the circuit and vape directly off the battery. So you have to know what batteries you can use safely, what a short looks like, and what the consequences can be if these things go wrong.

There is the plain old battery; as you use it, the voltage will drop, and your vaping performace will change.

Then VV was introduced: voltage regulation: you set a voltage, and it keeps that voltage.

Now there is VW: power regulation: you set the wattage, and it keeps that wattage.

If you don't want to be fiddling and calculating and knowing or caring what the resistance of your coil is (because you got more important things to do like catch a crook who's looking to steal somebody's provari lol) then you want VW.

It's just as easy to adjust volts because the adjustment scale is finer.

It's a last resort safety feature. It must then be replaced once it melts.

I don't like all those electronics in my mods, too much to go wrong, and it's happened too me too many times.

BUT

No reason to try to convince the op to buy anything, we should be listening to his wants and needs, assessing his level of expertise and then making a recommendation based on those wants and needs.

A reo could be perfect, but there's no way to know, he hasn't had a chance to think trying to answer all these " reo, no provari, no reo!" Responses.

An RBA (rebuildable atomizer) will be your best topper, miles above any cleraromizer. My experience is limited, but Kayfuns and Aquas are great (I prefer the Aqua, though the Kayfun is great as well, and easier to set up). As to mods, an Innokin SVD is great. You'll have the option of variable voltage or variable wattage, and while I'm sure the Provari is great the SVD is great bang for the buck. I've recently gotten into mech mods and I love them, but they do require you to be more attentive (they have no built in safety features). Whatever mod you get, make sure that you get really good batteries.

oh i said a provari would be ideal too if vv is his deal - but he does make his own coils! And i am not a salesman for anything at all, just a guy that has taken a Reo to work with me daily for longer than you have been on this forum!
