Hey everyone! New here (obviously) and I had a pretty specific question I would like help with.

I am a light smoker ... in fact, I don't even smoke unless I am home and having a beer. I usually have one cigarette per beer, and even then sometimes I don't finish one.

My choice of cigs are Marbolo Light 100 or Camel light 99. I do not recall ever smoking a flavored cig, so I am looking for a straight tobacco flavor.

I ordered the Health E Cig a week ago it is not here yet, but according to this thread from last year:

( Cannot post a URL, but everyone said it was a crapshoot at best)

I should not be expecting too much I guess ....

So if I am disappointed by this Health E Cig, what would you all suggest? I checked out the BluCig website and that one looks pretty good... here are what I am keeping in mind:

Equivalent nicotine to a Marb Light 100
Equivalent flavor
Good vapor
easy draw
budget of $50 - $70 for a starter kit and reasonable refill costs
I live in NY state

Any help is appreciated, thanks!

I'm the same as you, very light smoker, in fact I switched to herbal cigarettes two years ago and have hardly had real tobacco in that time. I almost bought an e health kit, but I prefer something with no nicotine so I ended up buying a "disposable" egic from here where I had that option: disposablecig.com (can't post full URLs yet.)

It's fine except it is NOT DISPOSABLE! You MUST have a charger, and the cartridges are too expensive from this place. Since I didn't buy a charger I'm stuck now waiting for my next purchase to arrive, an M402. I LOVED the brief amount of vaping I was able to do on this "disposable" one, so I went ahead and bought an M402 from Tasty Vaping. I had been looking at the popular ones, M4 series, 510, 901, and I think you have to do that and just decide which appeals to you the most. I'm just not into the idea of a manual battery yet, so I crossed the 510 off my list. The 901 has a flat tipped cartridge and I've never liked smoking with holders that have those, so that's pretty much why I went for the M4 series. I went with the M402 because it's a "happy medium" length between long and short. The three sizes of batteries are interchangeable though, and it comes in a couple of colors and LED colors so you have the "looks like a cigarette" or "doesn't look anything like a cigarette", or mix and match or whatever.

They say the M Series carts are kind of small and don't last long, but for us light smokers that shouldn't be a problem. The batteries are known to be pretty good, though.

I have been using the Super Cigarette for about a year now. The atomizers have lasted me a good 3-6 months each. However, I am a very light smoker.

Hope this helps!

An M401 device is a decent starter for a light smoker. I bought mine from vaporstuff.com. Good prices and shipping. I use this as an emergency unit or for a quick walk with the dogs. As a heavy vaper, the 401 would not cut it for me. Buy e-liquid and learn to refill the cartridges of any device you purchase. This will save you lots of money as pre-filled cartridges can be expensive.

First off, welcome!

Secondly, what to get and where for a newb:

Joye 510 starter kit with manual batteries
PCC (Personal Charger Case)
Flavored liquids (in addition to a tobacco flavor to try)

Kits: Liberty Electronic Cigarettes One-stop shopping. USA. Free shipping. Good warranty policy. Customizable kits. Kit includes 2 batteries (black or white/auto or manual/orange or blue LED) to mix & match , 2 atties, pre-stuffed carts & extra filler, choice of USB or A/C charger. $49.95. Site has all the add ons/extras you'll want/need. Liquids are decent.) PCC kit includes color choice, extra battery, atty and carts $36 on sale now. Or get just the PCC for $24.

Liquid: Nhaler USA. Order over $100, free shipping. Worth the $10 shipping otherwise. Larger bottles (30ml). Great flavors with great vapor. High Voltage is great, too!

Being a light smoker, you'll eventually appreciate non-tobacco flavors...

DSE-103 gets my vote.

Hey, I was going to say that! I've got two people at work using the DES103 (healthcabin.com & heaven-gifts.com are the best sites). Low start up cost, like $27 and no carts to deal with. The carts on any of those are pretty much worthless. You just carry a bottle of juice (both sites offer 10ml bottles of juice for $3.50) and to drip a couple of drops on the atomizer. One of the girls is just gifted when it comes to vaping and she can get as much vapor from the DSE103 as I get from the JOYE510. The girl was born to vape, I swear! Cheap batteries, cheap (but solid) atomizers, and good 3-4 hours of battery use.

And, when I use mine I just vape differently. I hold it like a cigarette and sit back and enjoy the vapor. Once it gets heated up it's a fog monster.

This is very helpful, I thank you.

Might I ask why Manual batteries as opposed to Automatic? Being the person I am, I would understand a manual transmission Camaro SS vs. an automatic ... but why does it matter in e-cigs?

Well, when I drove a manual, back in the early 90's, it took some getting used to, but it broke down less than my automatic. LOL!

The automatics have a sensitive switch mechanism that goes off (a good breeze could even trigger it) and wastes battery life & also controls how you can draw on it. With the manual, it doesn't go off by itself and you control how long you draw on it.

Yes, the little button takes you further away from the analog-look, but after vaping a while, you care less and less about having an analog clone and more and more about having a great vaping experience!

Once again, thank you!

I will ask all that are reading this thread: If you have any ideas towards my original post, please post them, because this is an adventure for me and I need all the suggestions I can get.

I will have my Health E Cigs tomorrow, and according to what I have read, it will be OK at best.

Even if it is great, I am going to take the advice of everyone and discover all of these products....

I am hoping to have a good e-cig experience for a light smoker... with all your help I am sure I will.

Thanks again everyone!

The health e cig looks just like my Smoking Everywhere cig or a 4081. I think they would be good for a light smoker.
As far as the juice goes, I have had juice from two different vendors and none of them taste anything like marlboros even though one of them is called Marlybro. However, you will get used to the new taste and you will enjoy it just as much as a real cig.

Well, got the Health E ones today ... tried one...

They are strong! I cannot take a full pull off one. The taste is OK, it reminds me of sorta stale Marb Reds really ... if I keep up this vaping I am definitley gonna need something lighter.

Now I see you guys like different flavors etc.

Since this is my first hour or so with these things I have no ideas about reliability or what not, but it seems to be a fairly solid unit.

Good vapor, the way I smoke normally matches up with it pretty well.

This should be a fun weekend, I will have no real cigs, just 5 cartridges, one atomizer and one battery ... will it keep up with my typical 6 - 8 cigs a day?
