Very Intersting OTD. I had not thought of that. I will look more into that thread.
The strange think however, is that sometimes i feel that the nic gum is actually more satisfying than analogues. After chewing a piece, I usually have no desire for a cig. and since nic gum only has nic, not the other addictives in cigs, I would think that the ecig would also work. And to clarify, the ecig somewhat works but not that satisfied feeling that i get with gum and analogues, except every once in awhile when one of the greencarts mysteriously works better than the others and has noticeable throat hit. So, I think (hope) ecigs will work for me - I just need to find the right one.

OTD I have thought that for some time now. There must "something" else in analogs that is also addicting. and this is prolly why smoking is such a difficult addiction to break. you are to addicted to multiple things. vape does better than NRT products because it addresses more of the addictions that gum/patches do... I am afraid to find out what else it is that i am addicted to... could be the arsnic? i dont know and that is the problem... but i will beat the analogs...

Nothing that horrid or scary silence. Look through the thread I mentioned, focus on the posts from DVap, Kinabaloo and IANAN

The suspected missing constituants I mentioned are naturally occuring goodies in the tobacco. It appears the only harm these offer is the ability to keep us hooked!

Mind, I R a layman for sure! But give a look through the nicotine and Other Alternatives to Smoking forums. A lot of good info there, not so dire at all :)

I would try the standard sized 510 manual with dark flavors made with pg - for stealth and throat hit.

18mg and up puts off great throat hit.

VG gives off the vapor and the sweeter brighter flavors seem to have less throat hit.

For super stealth pop off the led or just cup the led in your palm while you vape. It will look like your sucking on a pen.

Thanks DC2. I think you are right. They real answer to my question would be which e-cig with which juice flavor and nic strength to get a good satisfying throat hit. I am not interested in mods at this time because I would like to use the device in public as inconspicuously as possible.

Any more suggestions please?
If you don't want a mod then at least make sure you are using a manual battery.
That will allow you to get hotter vapor which should increase throat hit.

If you want prefilled cartridges, I can't help you there as I don't use them.
In fact, not many people use prefilled cartridges.

As for which atomizer to use for big throat hit, the 510 is probably what most would suggest.

I always get a kick when new folks come in and specifically say they want advice on e-cigs that look like regular cigarettes....and then everyone ignores them and goes into telling them about mods...kills me.

To the OP:

Any kr808-D will resemble a cigarette, decent batt life, prefilled carts with a new atomizer in each one (2 piece design) with the ability to refill them, great throat hit and great vapor production.

Do I favor the kr808-D? Yes
Do I like mods? Yes
Did you ask about mods? No
Did you ask about analog looking e-cigs? Yes

So theres my suggestion. Just sayin.

My best,
-VP

I use the 510 and the 901. I get better TH from the 901 and more flavor. But I still prefer the 510 for its mad vapor production. Check out Moobyghosts review of the M602. This is my next purchase. Also make sure you order from Dawn at DIY Flavorshack.com. You want a TH ? Try the redhots!!!

Throat hit is down to:-

  1. Freshly charged battery..
  2. Atomizer working at full capacity..
  3. And the correct juice..

Now we are all different, we find satisfaction through our vaping in different ways. So this question is very hard to answer for anyone other than yourself.

Firstly can I say, if we abruptly give up cigarettes, and go over to an ecig, PV, whatever you wish to call it. We are still getting our nicotine, but not the other 3,999 chemicals, some of which our body is also addicted to. This means we often feel that the nic mg. we are using is not sufficient, when in reality it is.

After all, would you ever in your smoking days, have lit 2 or 3 cigarettes at once at inhaled on all three?

OK that said..

1) battery - The battery we are using has to be freshly charged, whether that be our "greencig", 901, 510, whatever...

2) The atomizer has to be at full power, one nearing the end of its days wont be as good as a new one, obvious really.

3) The juice of our choice, will then give us slightly more than it did before.

Menthol, as someone said earlier, has a kick of its own, and the chosen juice of many people trying to get down to 0mg.

Vodka etc adds nothing..... in fact all its used for is instead of distilled water to thin down VG.

One further factor, could be the distance between battery and atomizer created by an adapter. I personally have noted a very slight difference at certain times.

So all in all, experimentation is the key.. find what is right for you, there are no quick and easy ways.

Good Luck.. we all get there in the end.

Thanks everyone. I think I am going to try out the M602 and some high nic tobacco flavored juice.

Vapor Pete- Have you tried the Greencig? it's supposed to be the same as the Kr808's but that the carts never burn. That's why i bought the greencig in the first place. I've never tried the KR808's though, so maybe they have more throat hit. Curious as to the comparison.

I could be wrong, but I think throat hit is a combination of the following...

1) Heat of the vapor = voltage
2) Nicotine content of juice
3) Flavor of juice
4) Brand of juice

5) Atomizer; average resistance of an 801 is 3.5ohm, a 510 is 2.5ohms and a 901 is 3ohms... can make a big difference and in my slightly educated opinion it's the only time resistance really matters in a well built PV

To the OP:

I haven't seen it mentioned but you might want to consider a 5v mod that can accept KR808-D cartomizers.

They are expensive, which is why i am finding the inconsistency in the carts so annoying. Don't want to buy anymore hoping that i'll get a better pack. The original carts that came were good. The refills i bought are totally different. Strangely a free medium cherry cart they sent me has more of a kick than the high strenth western refills i purchased. Go figure. Thus my need to find a new system.

Oh and by the way, I'm a lady, but i like the "no sir" ;)
