Best ecigs?

Hey all, I've been vaping for a little over a month now, and I'm using a standard kanger evod with a 650mah battery. I was wondering if i could use a kanger t3s clearomizer with that battery, or if i should invest in a new battery as well as new clearomizers/atomizers. I like the evod so far except for the occasional leakage and leakage onto the battery. If anyone wants to recommend an entirely new device to use, I'm open to suggestions. Also what's the best ohm level to use with my 650mah 3.7 volt battery? 2.2? Thanks a lot!

Hello and welcome.

Below are some blog posts by ECF member Baditude that I highly recommend for someone new to vaping.

1. A Good Starter's Setup for a Beginning Vapor
2. Advancing Up the Vaping Ladder with Egos and Mods
3. Proper terminology - Is it a carto, a tank, or what? A Guide to Juice Attachments.
4. Something Safe for Cinnamon and Citrus Flavors

These should give you some ideas for options should you choose to upgrade your current setup.

Hi, seaking, and welcome to ECF!

The t3s should work just fine on your battery. As far as "best" coil resistance, that's largely a matter of taste. a 2.2-ohm coil should give you decent battery life, but you might prefer a lower-resistance coil. You can just get replacement coils in a couple different resistances and see what you like. If you are getting leakage onto the battery make sure that the coil is screwed in tightly to the base! (It can tend to loosen up, particularly when you put the head back on the battery).

If you only have 1 battery, you should get a second one, as a backup and for something to use while the other one is charging.

If you're looking for something new (in a battery) I would suggest you check out the Innokin MVP.

As far as heads go, the evod's aren't a bad choice. Lately I've been preferring these:

But there are a ton of different clearo's to choose from, top-coil, bottom-coil, dual-coil.

Not to mention rebuildable heads like the Kayfun and friends ;-)

Fasttech has a lot of different types of clearos for cheap, so you could order several different styles and see what you like the best. Takes a while to get here, though, so in the mean time grab something locally!

EVODs are dang good for a small vape device. I have MT3s and T3s, and boy do they gurgle alot, even after rebuilding the heads. So I have a hard time pointing anyone that way. Although, I seem to see alot of folks happy with T2s. Protank 3s have a solid following, though I'm not a fan of the PT and PT2s. I like my flavor and most clearos sacrifice flavor for convenience.

If you want a warmer vape, then lower the resistance. The trick is to fine the balance between a flavorful taste and battery longevity. Lower ohm coils will use up the batteries faster. 1.8-2.2 is a good average range. With a 650mah stick, you can really use any topper, clearos, cartos, even RDA/RBAs (though they'll be top heavy and look funny).

You'll likely want to bump your batteries up to 1100mah or more, or get an MVP with 2600mah. Again, you can use any topper on these.
