"Better" is in the eye of the beholder. I prefer the Riva-510. It is exactly the same size as the eGo (and fully compatible with all eGo attys, cartos, tanks, and accessories), but is higher voltage (3.7V vs. 3.2V) and mAh (750 vs. 650) and less expensive (e.g., you can get a full kit from Liberty-Flights for $30). However, if you still have your eGo charger (which works just as well with the Riva), you can purchase only a Riva battery for $12. Any other battery I can think of (whether other fat batts or mods) would be appreciably larger than the 750 mAh Riva or 650 mAh eGo.

That's the battery issue. Another way to get "better" is with the atomizer or cartomizer ... and I strongly prefer cartomizers. IMO atomizers are only suited for use with juice feeders ... unless you really don't mind dripping. [I dripped for most of two years (when cartomizers weren't that great), but got sick of it (and cartomizers now are great).] Some of the best 510 cartos are the Boge 2.0, Smok Tech Mega Dual Coil, and Smok Tech 1.7 ohm Mega Single Coil ("Resurrector"). [Links are to examples of low-priced suppliers.]

My personal favorite cartomizer today is the Elite 808 from CigEasy. It is a Kr8 compatible, but I often use it with an inexpensive 510-to-808/901 adapter (e.g., from Good Prophets) on my eGo and Riva batteries. [NOTE: The adapter extends the length by about 1/4 inch and, since the cartomizer is slightly wider than the typical 510, the eGo/Riva cone doesn't fit over it.]

Actually, 3.7V is not necessarily any better than 3.2V. It depends on the atomizer/cartomizer resistance, the e-liquid, and the preferences of the individual vaper. For example, I think the Smok Tech 1.7V Single Coil carto is especially effective on the 3.2V eGo. And I'm not alone in this; that's why Crystal Clear Vaping calls it "The Resurrector": it brings new life to the eGo. Some people (e.g., pbusardo) are in love with the Boge 2.0 cartomizer. I prefer the Elite 808 carto (on either the 3.7V Elite battery or the 3.2V eGo battery).

There is a new eGo Type with 510 connection in town...the Korean Ramiya R2-750 and it's really nice...and Analog Alternative is selling the mini kits for just $36.95 and the large kits for $64.95. All parts have a 3 month Quality Assurance/warranty except that battery, which has 6 months. I won a mini kit in a contest and this is a very high quality tank kit that doesn't leak, has a self regulating battery and atomizer that keeps them stable so they don't fry easily. The tank system is incredibly cool, too. I just made an in depth review video I'll be posting in video reviews once it's finished uploading and processing. I already put up an unboxing video and mini-review up in the same section if you want to check it out. It has a 750mah battery that actually has an on/off feature so you can turn the battery off to help conserve your charge longer and when you set it down it goes into a sort of sleep mode to help conserve energy. It also has a puff counter and battery life LCD display. It's very cool and excellent quality.
