A good Kayfun clone will give you the flavor and volume of vapor (along with volume of juice) your looking for. Personally I would look for one made by Hcigar or Ehpro. There are a ton of them out there and just about as many threads on here on setting them up. Then in the future if you do like the clone you can always purchase an original.

IGO-W is a good entry level dripper, IMO. Easy to build and lots of videos out there. I absolutely love my kayfun lite + . .if the clones are even close I'd say go for that.

Depending on what you're looking for, I also really like my cyclone clone (fasttech - yk1). It's pretty small so you're somewhat limited with the types of builds you can do .. but it's pretty easy to build and the narrow chamber is what I think makes the flavor so good - I get much better flavor from it than I do from my IGO. I drilled out the cap to 1/16 and usually do a 2.0ohm micro coil in there and run it on my kick2 at 15w . . it cranks out the vapor . .and, best of all, flavor.

Genesis SS wick tanks are nice. They are NOT(even the RSST) the best choice for a beginning builder.
An insulated wick hole simply means less shorting issues. There are still several aspects of the build that take some serious attention.
Mid-coil Tanks like the Kayfun are better suited for the RBA novice.
AGA-T can be a Royal pain until you get a handle on building.

Entry Level:
Low Cost
Easy Build
Reasonable manufacturing quality
Flexible for advancement

Rocket Tank
Kayfun/Russian 91%, on the Cheap

I'll second the Rocket.

Easy build with a microcoil and cotton, and the flavor is out of this world.

For the price, you can't go wrong.

Not sure if Igo-L is the best option these days, but you can pick one up for around $14. It has flaws for sure. You have to wrap your wire around the top of the terminal posts which can be a hassle, and you may want to drill out the air hole.

The thing I like best is that it has a large reservoir so you can drip like crazy, and a pretty decent sized deck so it's easy to work with.

There are likely better options by now, but if you don't mind the flaws I just mentioned you'd be gtg.

Honestly igo L is cheap and pretty decent performer for someone starting out. Kayfun style is great but a little tougher for someone just beginning.

I have both.

If you can build and attach a coil in an Igo-L, the only difference in a kayfun is that the coil leads go opposite directions.

Wicking it with cotton is pretty much dummy proof. I'm living proof. Nailed it on the first try. The end result is that you get an atomizer that vapes as good as a single coil dripper, but it feeds itself....Genius!

Care to elaborate?

My first build went something like this...

- Unbox RSST

- Drill top cap to 1/16th

- wash RSST and re-assemble

- roll wick and oxidize 3x

- insert wick in wick hole

- cut 5 inch piece of 30g kanthal

- attach kanthal to neg post

- wrap kanthal around wick 4x

- attach other end of kanthal to positive post

- pulse coil and jiggle wick till glowing evenly

- fill tank

- vape

This was my first experience building anything and it was about as difficult as playing with legos.

    OK, some questions:
Do you want a tank system, or do you want a dripper?
Do you want side air hole air management, or do you want bottom air mnagement?
Do you want o-ring assembled, or do you want threaded assembly?

    My choices:
I wanted a dripper, bottom air management, and I didn't want it coming apart in my pocket. This made the A7 a no brainer.

    Side note:
The A7 comes with a 2.4 ohm coil installed, it will surprise you IF you squeeze it into a micro coil before you use it.

Weeelllll... I'd like to add something to that, the insulated wick hole also gives you much more efficient coil heating, and you can see this when you push that button and the coil glows from both the top and the bottom at the same time. You will not see that with the AGA-T2, ever. As far as shorting problems go I've never had them with either RBA, I check the ohms of my build every time, and a short will turn up then.

AGA-T can be a Royal pain until you get a handle on building.

    You can say that again!

I'll add that had I started building with the RSST I would have been a lot happier a lot sooner. From the time I started vaping it took me under six weeks to get into mechs and RBA's. I think some people are just better suiting to rebuilding than others. Some can figure out making SS mesh wicks and coiling them pretty quick, others never get it. At least that's what I've seen on here.
