Well we all know that the protank can use a couple different heads but i'm curious to see what heads some of you prefer in your Protank 2's. Do you stick with the PT heads or go with Evod or Davide or what? Seems my protank could use a boost in performance because right now im not happy with it so maybe its the PT head im using. Is there something better that is compatible with this tank? I like to use this on my provari btw.

Wow 100+ Protank 2 users and nobody has 2cents to add? Was this a stupid question maybe? Hahaha I just wanted to see if most of you preferred the actual Kanger PT2 heads over any of the other ones that are compatible with this tank. I was talked into buying the evod heads for my replacements to use but I'm not sure I like them. The flavor seems really muted and I'm wondering if the actual PT2 heads are any better or are they basically the same? They all look the same to me so if there is any difference what is it? Hopefully better flavor cause these evod heads suck.

hopefully the beach
as far as I know if they are authentic then they all are the same maybe the post is taller. There are a lot of opinions that they can be so much better by rebuilding them with cotton wick and new coils which I just started doing and I agree it makes a difference. As with everything it's personal preference and trial and error until you find the best vape for you. good luck.

Try airflow control valve . My help you some.

Well There is an airflow issue with my protank as well but I dont think that has anything to do with the head does it? And speaking of airflow can I buy a seperate base with a control valve somewhere? Yeah if I screw my tank all the down on my provari it COMPLETELY stops any airflow whatsoever. What's up wit dat?! I ha e to barely screw the tank onto the device in order to get a draw off of it and because of that the tank is loose on there and doesnt feel secure. Any tips on this airflow control valve thingy will be helpful.

You can purchase the Kangertech airflow control valve separately, but nobody has them in stock at the moment and I do mean nobody. I use Kanger PT/Evod 2.5ohm replacement coils. The draw on my ProTanks was pretty good with the old style coil heads, but when Kanger changed the insulator from rubber to silicone the airflow was completely restricted on my ProVari. The airflow control valve fixed the problem. I had previously purchased the tatroe replacement bottom, and that helped, but not nearly as much as the Kanger airflow control valve base.

My wife been using provari with protank2 for a while now and hers has no airflow issues (I would sure know bout it if it did). I have ordered some of those adjustable bases but what I have done is that I bought a bunch of just PT bases and swap them around until I get the airflow I wanted. Something else you could do is with a drill bit, finger twist the PT air holes a bit bigger at a time instead of drilling and making them too big, the metal is soft and finger twist quite easily. I also don't use those opaque silicone insulators, they do cause problems. I bought 3rd party insulators and rebuild using those and my wife hasn't said a word about airflow problems with her provari.

I'm gonna still look into the bases. I'm also going to try to remove that Insulator but don't you need that on? Lastly, what do you mean by "finger twist" the air hole?

They're sold out too. I just checked. :(

Yeah I just saw that :( Man you really gotta be ready to jump on this stuff when it comes in. Ya snooze ya lose. Looks like I lost lol. Hopefully they come back in stock soon. I just called a local B&M and they have some on order but they have no idea when to expect them because they told me that China is in the middle of their Chinese new year so and nobodys working over there. That could mean all other online vendors will be waiting a while too. (sigh) Well I'll just have to keep checking around and hit all the "notify me" buttons. Please keep me informed if any of you happen to see someone that has them in stock.

Instead of putting the drill bit into a drill, you just drill the holes with the bit using your fingers. It still cuts the metal but in smaller bits and you have more control of the hole size.

Ohhhh ok I see. Well If I get the new air flow control base I'm not sure if I should do that but good idea.
