I have a problem with the base of my Davide Mini Glassomizer, I hope someone with knowledge of Glassomizer or Protank bases can help me with it.

I have a protank mini which I liked, but bought a Davide Mini Glassomizer a week ago, and have been using it exclusively since, becasue I preferred the change-able drip-tip and the stainless steal base.

It stopped working last night, and I assumed it was a bad coil head. I exchanged the head - still did not work.
I put the head from my protank mini in it - still did not work.
I put the Davide base with protank head on protank - and it did not word.
I put the protank base, davide head, on the davide and it worked.

So, the problem is with the base of the davide - not the coil head - but the base is just a metal tube - and it has been working for a week, so what could have gone wrong with it that made it stop working, and how can I fix it???????

Maybe the center post on the base need to be pryed/pulled out a little bit. Thats what happened to me and it was a very easy fix.
If that doesnt do it, i havent a clue.

For it to fire the base/bottom of your coil head needs to make contact with the center pin/post on your device.

Check to make sure the center post on your device didn't get pushed down. On most devices you can pry up the post a little bit.

Then unscrew the coil head and look on the bottom of it. Pull on the flat pin just a little bit. Not too much and don't twist it, just pull straight otherwise your coil inside the head will turn on you and then it will leak. I had this problem before after I rebuilt a head I guess I smashed the pin into the rubber grommet too much and it didn't make contact with my device.

What device are you using?

got 6 of these puppies, 1 worse than the rest. you coil ain't touching the post. why that happens (like all of a sudden with one that never happened before)?

2 guesses, 1) the bases are just too dang big and thick
2) the coils are just a tad shorter that kangers (compare the bottomist part of the coils)

i've heard you can use the ptank base

(and now i'm having the strangest deja vu that you've posted this somewhere else and got the same answers)

part coil/part base problem. too bad ptank mini 2s aren't out yet, cuz i'd like to compare.

*i think i may know the answer! did you loose either of the o-rings? i bet that makes them just short enough to not touch the battery post!*

i read on Discount Vapers website that we should NOT over-tighten them when we put them back together. which of course you the first time that base stays on your battery when you take your glasso off!

Thanks - I did post almost the same post general and with another title when after a day I had seen I had only 12 views and no responses here. I am not sure if I lost the o-ring or not - since it is not leaking I assume not. I am still using it with a Protank mini vase and it is working well with that base. The reason I am not sure if it still has the o-rings is that I am an old lady with bad eyesight, and even with glasses it is hard for me to see small parts which makes modifying these things almost impossible (no re-buildable addys for me).

For the person who asked, I am using it on an Itaste vv

i'm using itaste vv v3's. try taking it apart and putting it back together, only not so tight.

the o-rings are tiny! i'm sure i lost a few! i have tiny, tiny leaks. i'm gonna order a few more, just to get the o-rings. i have 1 that i keep on one v3, can't use it on the others.

and it it impossible to raise the battery posts with it feeling like it is going to break.

it IS my favorite set up though, v3s with mini davides!

(i have 3 itaste vv's as well, but i bought them by accident thinking they were vs! so i understand bad eyesight )

Sometimes when I rewick these type of devices - Evods, Protanks, etc - the wire coils on the mesh are too wide, so...when you put on the tube over the mesh it works, BUT when you put on the tank you have a short.
Try to get your wich tube good and stright, and if that doesn't work, use another wick, and take a look at the coils on the other.

At least I presume they're too far apart. They must touch the wick tube when the tank's screwed on.

If I'm completely wrong, tell me what it is, coz it happens to me at times too :D

Or other wise, see if your 510 screw is OK, as with PT's at least they're fragile. as already stated, you're missing an O-ring isolator.

Or it's the wrong time of the month? They can be soooo tempremental

I just got my Anyvape Davide mini the other day. I really like the way it looks and puts together but I'm not very impressed by the quality of the vape. It is quite airy which isn't that big a deal to me, but the vapor seems weakish and barely any TH, with a very slight plasticy taste. I think my iClear 16 hits better than this.
