Thank you all for the solid advice everyone. I am likely going to go with a Provari, but it looks like I should check out the classifieds once I am able to before I purchase a new model. :toast:

Just a heads up - if you buy one from the classifieds the warranty is not transferable.

Reo Grand plus a rebuildable atty......end game

the ease of use is unmatched and even if you go with the non vv regular grand you can build a lower ohm coil and stull have one of the best setups out there today.

provari.......hey there is a reason everyone compairs themselfs to the king of vv.....nuf said

vivi nova....wouldn't waste my time instead stalk the classies for a zen ZaP and your set flavir is over the top. and 100% american made.

everything i have is from somewhere other than china and they all come in under 300

Another really awesome choice is 249.00 from electronicstix is the standard zenesis........

good luck in your search......

The edge provari has is that when the battery starts dropping off the voltage stays the same to the atty.

china can't master this and as the batts start to die the output voltage wavers and falls with it regaurdless of where it is set.
get a Reo Grand and you quickly realize that vv really isn't needed with a 1.5 coil.........

No - there are mods from China that hold voltage under load - and have been tested right to the battery cut off point. It used to be the case that mods didn't do this, but now there are better and more accurate ones that do. Just adding that for info.

I'm sorry just noticed you were deployed.....
Reo gets another vote as its about the size of a pack of smokes and has the battery life to last up to a couple days and can take a real beating...........the provari will be hard to conceal and being vv the batt life is shortend...thanks for keeping ME free

The Z Max is not as well built as the Provari. I would do it once and get the Provari. I sold my Rio within a week of getting it. The vape keeps getting weeker as the battery runs down. The Provari Has a ton of safety features as well. You just can't go wrong with the Provari and a carto tank with 3 ohm cartos inside.

actually i would say the Sigelei Zmax(not the smok zmax i have both) is built just as well as my provari just no two year warranty but personally i like the vape better from it using RMS/VW alot can be said for the consistency when switching between different attys without all the adjusting all the time and no voltage drop with them as the battery gets drained.

i have no problem with provari and think it is a great device but for $200 for it with a end cap for a 18650 battery
i think the Sigelei Zmax is a much better deal at $80 with the extra endcap, just as well built imo and has more features and works just as well if not better for me.
i can go without the two year warranty considering if it was to break i could just buy another one and have spare parts and still be cheaper then one provari.

Here is my reasoning for a Reo Grand with a rebuildable atty....
1. you can rebuild it......anywhere
2. You can use cheap cotton yarn or candle wick to rebuild it that can fe found ANYWHERE in the world.
3. You can spend 20 bucks and have enough wire and wick to rebuild it for the rest of your life
4. They can take a beating like no other( there have been reports of them being dropped in rivers and cleaned up and vaped)
5. Pure mechanical
6. They confuse the hell out of rhe no smoking crowd
7. You can stealth vape on manuvers or in the field.
8. A 3100mah battery will last me 2.5 days............

and again tanks for serving

i have both the Reo Grand as well as a ProVari and i can say honestly that the Reo is the better choice for all the reasons here and a thousand others. vv is overrated as i can build a coil that will out perform a vv device. the vv is for the foljs that can't build coils.

but if you go with a rebuildable then you won't be stuck waiting on carto's or nova heads to arive in the mail. all you will have to worry about is your juice supply......
