,why not have it all hooked up and ready to go ,cart's in a cylinder and screwed down all the revolving part does is turn the cart/cylinder, line up the barrel&tip and line up an electrical connection. Very much like a true revolver but rather then a pin to make a connection it could be as simple as a spring steel contact. Then the power is turned on through the trigger.
This has to look better in my head then it does when i see it on paper,,well print.font,on the screen,, thats it,,on the screen..lol

I will have to do some grinding and such but the nice thing is the carts fit very well into the cylinder. lol
And with a speed loader it should keep you pinned down all weekend.

.357 should be possible (my 510 cartos measure .315 though). Even with threaded cartomizers, a flat spring contact should be able to brush up against the center contact without shorting.

Yes i agree, I have them in a 357 but they are a tad loose so they could very well work in a 38. And The Spring contact would be fairly simple.

A modified and insulated firing pin would make much better contact than any spring
Its already there, why not use it

Insulating the pin would be tricky, but you could place shrink tube around the carto and let the whole gun be the pos or neg terminal. The problem will be maintaining the contact pressure after the initial firing as the pin may retract and/or not have spring pressure.
