Can anyone help recommend the most convenient juice delivery system for tasting of juices.

Filling and priming a cartotank is wasteful if you dun like the juice or its not ripe yet.
Blank cartomizers taste like polyfill to me.

An i am trying to avoid a situation where i have 3 or 4 new juices and I want to taste them without having to waste them and keep washing out tanks and drying in a 30 min session.

I have read about dripping but what do I need and how does it work ie, does it wick or does i have a filler or ???

Help and suggestions much appreciated

Basically, you have an atomizer (think carto without the filler) and you drip 3 - 5 drops of juice into it. Toss on a drip tip and vape away.

When I am tasting, I use a couple different atomizers depending on how many juices I am tasting in that sitting. I have a few different ones at the moment - I do not have the one linked below but, I have been considering it.

Here is a good walk through on how to use an atomizer (taken from Avid Vaper) - keep in mind that for tasting, you are generally OK to stop at step 4 or 5 below depending on the juice:

1. Blow excess primer out only in the direction of airflow (in through battery connector terminal and out through drip tip/mouth piece end)
Do not rinse or clean out primer. It is needed for proper break in. Primer is 50/50 PG/VG

2. Apply enough liquid ( about 5 drops) until a slight gurgle is heard when you draw (cold draw / no power ) if no gurgle is heard add 1-2 more drops

3. Vape some short drags to be sure there is enough liquid and to test different draw speeds. Remember the pump works on vacuum, slow / soft drags are not going to create enough vacuum.

4. If you get a bad taste on first drag, add 1-3 drops try again.

5. A bad taste or light flavor/vaper from a drag means the atomizer is ready for 2-3 more drops, depending on liquid used. 2-3 for all VG. 3-4 for VG PG.

6. Continue to vape and top off with juice until flavor starts to intensify (you will know) atomizer will "hiss" after a drag when its ready to top off, or top off when you get poor flavor.

7. When you feel you "know" your atomizer go ahead and vape hard. Please be aware when your atomier is running dry, Enjoy!!!

Hope that helps

Do all atomizers come with the primer (the 50/50 PG/VG)? If they do not and let's say I get a typical 510 Boge os SLB, do I need to have the primer on hand to break in a brand new atomizer properly? I am totally new to this and have never tried dripping, but it sounds like the way to go for trying different juices. Thanks.

not all do. These are what i use these for taste testing avid vapor. i drip 4 or 5 drops, taste, then when i go to switch flavors i clean it in vodka, blow out the excess and drip something else. sometimes i just put the next flavor right on top.
The Cisco Spec atomizers are twice the price of other atomizers. There must be a reason for this, but since I am new to vaping, my question is: Are they worth the price for a newbie or would it be better for me to buy two Boges or SLBs instead of one Cisco Spec atomizer? Thanks.

I have used a lot of different dripping atomizers and I settled on Cisco Spec from Avid. The first one I got is still going strong. I use the long barrel LR and SR 510 and the HH357LB. I also use a 306 occasionally. If I'm not in the mood to drip every few minutes I'll use an IGO-L or an Octopus as they work longer before having to re-drip. GeJ sells an atty refresher that you can use between dripping sessions.

All in all I've been content with those products.

I use a dripping atty most of the time but I also like the nanos for testing juices. Esp one's I like, but not enough...yet (may grow on me or get loads better with steeping). It is small and there is no filler so just rinse and refill. I've been using the same ones for months with no problems.

The best system for tasting is a dripper RBA (rebuildable atomizer) or RDA (rebuildable dripping atomizer). They all are easily cleaned and made ready for a new flavor, and the flavor you get out of them is pure and intense. The catch, though, is the learning curve for setting them up. You have to wrap a good coil, place the wick correctly, and ensure good airflow. If you don't mind doing some research and diving into some trial and error, give one a shot.

Otherwise, a boge atomizer will work just fine. But the vape isn't as good and they are tougher to clean and dry properly.

I think it's debatable which system is best for taste. The RBA's have their following but others will say that ss mesh leaves a metallic taste. Pure cotton leaves a burnt taste. I have used Ekowool and found it equal in taste to silica wick. All in all I think the Cisco spec atty's give the best flavor with proper use. But, you know, taste varies and that's just one opinion. There is no " best system " they all have there faults and one may be preferable over another according to what the vaper finds convenient.

I use an A7 mini A7 Mini Rebuildable Atomizer Kit - Stainless Steel

I have been using the original coil that came with it for two months now. I usually just add five drops of a new flavor. I have rinsed it out and dry burned the coil about four times, but I usually just vape through the flavors. It comes with 2 additional coils. I have purchased wick and wire to build my own coils but haven't had to do it yet.

A good dripping atomizer is the simplest way to test flavors. The Cisco 510's are a good choice. Ikenvape and Empire Mods atties are also good. The Empire Premium 901 requires no break-in and the taste is superb, but it requires a drip shield and an adapter to fit a 510 connection.

For consistent results and ease of use, I'd avoid cheap atties and ones that are hard to clean or build. Whatever you choose, remember to drip 3-4 drops and let it sit for a few minutes before first use, and to start at a low voltage. Once it breaks in -- starts tasting good, doesn't dry out as quickly -- you can adjust the voltage up to taste.

I thought dripping was awful when I first tried it. Now it's all I do at home.
