If you are buying a clone....buy a Russian.

I have an authentic Russian, but I can't get my positive post to play nice. I've take the screw apart, reinserted the larger end, tightened the hell out of it, then reinserted the smaller section, but after a couple of days the post becomes loose again and the positive block on the build deck turns freely causing short circuit after short circuit. I ruined 2 batteries before I figured I need to check the coil, one of them vented.

I've given the Russian 2 solid chances and the same problem always occurs with mine. I'm done with the Russian. For me it's Hcigar or EHPro, both of which have treated me well. No leaking, and the positive post doesn't continuously come loose.

Wow, that sucks. Can't blame you for being frustrated.

I have three of them, and all of them have been as reliable as a hammer. I bought and set up the last one for my 64 year old mom's Provari, who is so uninterested in the workings of equipment that I have to change out her clearomizer wicks.

I set her up with a 1.3 ohm coil on a double loop of ekowool(spelling?) so all she would have to do was refill. Not a problem in 2 months of daily use.....it's her only vape.

The block should be able to move freely, however. That way you can angle the wick away from the air vent. Once the coil is set up, it should keep the bloc in position.

If the block moves after you set up the coil, it sounds to me like you have a problem with the insulator not being thick enough...it might have been over compressed at one point. I would have to have it in my hands and working with it to be sure, but that's what I would look at from what you have told me

PS

If you play Rev Horton and the Heat while building the coils it works better

I just got one from 101 Vape and so far so good. Im going to give it a week and if it all tests out good I am going to put in a order for 2 more. Just be careful cause this is a Kayfun Lite Plus V2 and that has the airflow control. There is one that doesn't have the airflow control on the bottom.

If you've already cleaned it, opened the airflow control to fully open and still it is not giving you the right amount of airflow for you, try a chimney build.

I use 28 or twisted 30 gauge wire. I do 7/8 wraps around a 5/64 drill bit to achieve 1.6 ohms. Running it on my Provari Mini, I usually set it to 4 volts, though depending on the juice, I've vaped it as high as 4.5 volts.

The coil sits about 1mm, directly above the airhole.

When you're wicking, the cotton is a thin strand of cotton wrapped around the coil, like a scarf. The center of the coil should be open, making sure the cotton doesn't block the top of the coil. The ends of the cotton strands loop down to the juice channel blocks, but make sure it's not blocking the juice channel.

If you're using higher VG juice, make the cotton strand even thinner. If it's a higher PG juice, you can use a tad more cotton.

If it gurgles after you've reassembled it, it means flooding. Usually means you have too much or too little cotton.

The airflow improves a bit compared the the traditional horizontal coil.

Hope that helps.

I have 2 of the Artemus black version 2's. I thought they were the best of the imitations gang. I take them both and use them at work everyday. They have their little finicky nuances, but I deal with them. When I get back home I use an Authentic Plus ver.2 -
I can chain vape that baby all night long, it just keeps on going, big airy easy pulling breaths producing clouds of heavenly vapor...:thumb:

Do me a favor and cover the side airflow with the bottom airflow adjustment completely removed while drawing then release it while drawing you will see how that stupid side airflow is restrictive ..... I have found this is where the airflow restriction comes from on all 3 of my KFL+ V2 and V3
