Working in a vapor shop I have tested every one we've ever had. The best I've found is the infinite black copper stingray. Reads 0.5 voltage drop with a VTC5. Second was the copper nemesis clone by HCigar at 0.7.

What was the resistance of the coil? My black copper and brushed brass stingrays (both from Fasttech) are by far the hardest hitting mechs I have. About 0.15v drop at 0.85 ohms, with a vtc4, on both.

Is there a good low voltage drop off mod clone? Or do you have to drop the big bucks for something like that and get an OEM version.

Seems like the copper mods hold voltage the best? I find that I have to clean the treads on my S1000 mod from corrosion every few weeks or there will come a point where it wont even fire.

Oh yes, of course you have to $pay$ for a 0.01 ohm battery tube.

Wow, I was tired or drunk that night. Forgot the 0's. Voltage drop tests were done using a fluke 87V dmm, vtc4 battery with no atomizer attached.

Stingray was .05 and Nemesis was .08. I tried testing with atomizers on a couple of times but I have yet to find a truly accurate volt meter that can test under load. All the ones I've used that measure by connecting to the 510 connector have been off by .03 - .06. Makes a big difference when that 0.3 changes the amps by 2.

i have 2 yesmo caravella clones and they have little to no volt drop. Tests 0.17 volt drop at a super low .2 ohms. Crazy for a 20 dollar mod right!? gold plated brass telescopic contacts. I have a custom copper panzer on the way i will have it in 2 weeks and will post the drop on that. I have a few other mods but the vellas have the lowest drop so far aside from my valkyrie hybrid which i cant test with my inline drop meter.

You know, the voltage drop doesn't tell us anything without knowing the load.

Then we could figure out the mod's ohms for ourselves, which is the real number you'd be interested in.

Exactly. It's actually the resistance of the mod that's sought, which together with the battery's internal resistance results in different voltage drops depending on the resistance of the coil. Which is to say, voltage drop is the result of a number of factors - not the starting point - and is therefore not a constant or an attribute of the mod only. The voltage drop without load is (or should be) practically nonexistent with any mod.

I prefer stainless steel but I been eyeing this particular buy because it come with enough pieces for
"Maximum supported battery length: 85mm"
Which should be enough for an 18650 plus an optional kick:

and this king style mod with
max supp bat length of 80mm

Good to see some folks pointing out the particulars in regards to v drops.

So much goes into it it's almost arbitrary.

Then you go and put an atty on it, and there's another link in the chain.

If you have any kind of RBA, you can build to overcome v drop anyways. I never really saw the point, unless it's absolutely terrible, as in some of the side button mods.

A point of reference, I suppose.
