Okay guys I posted this in the newbie thread but would like it to get more coverage.

I have a budget of $120 and want to get the best mech mod clone and tank I can get.

Not looking to get into dripping just yet so it has to be an rba.

I would like to make some big, flavorful clouds.

Thanks.

From my experience with clones, my Hcigar Stingray is the hardest hitting with very little voltage drop, in the 0.08 range vs. my EHPro 69 which has a 0.3+ voltage drop. Both are fairly inexpensive, though I think I did pay around $10 more for the Stingray clone. The Stingray however has a stickier switch despite being magnetic, so take that into consideration.

As for tanks, right now the best Kayfun clone seems to be the Tobeco Kayfun Lite Plus Black Edition. I have both the BE and a standard Tobeco Kayfun clone, and I can tell you that the Black Edition is superior, not that it's saying much. Both vape pretty well, just the BE has fewer quirks. I've also got an Hcigar Kayfun 3.1 clone which actually vapes better than the Tobeco clones, but I all but destroyed the fill valve using a metal blunt tip needle to fill it, so that's a HUGE negative unless you are aware of the problem before hand.

If you can avoid the Kayfun hype, then try a Winsmoke SQuape clone. Hits like a champ, super easy to build once you get the hang of it, and you can work on the coil without having to empty the tank. It's a very heavy atomizer though, and a little more finicky than a Kayfun clone, but once you get it figured out, it is a much better atomizer. Just don't be afraid of building the coil REALLY close to the deck. The higher the coil is above the deck, the more it's going to flood and leak. Build it closer, and it's going to treat you right.

Good clones.

Nemesis 22mm (even the ones from fasttech are good $24.63 Nemesis Style Mechanical Mod - stainless steel / with telescopic 510 contact pin at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping)
Panzer 25mm? (issue with the firing button unscrewing its self, easy fix with Teflon tape)
Caravela 22mm/23mm (not very versatile you end having to make new 510 pins for it)
Stingray 22mm (switch can be an issue)
Chi you 23mm (works well with the taifun gt)
Origin 21mm (works well with the aqua)

Tobeco kayfun v2 good but the airflow hole is smaller than the original and also sometimes it has smaller juice channels causing dry hits.

Hcigar taifun is good if you fix the chimney issue with some dental floss.

eXpromizer is the new kid on the block eXpromizer by eXvape - Pro Vaping ModWare

Tons of good RDA clones out there.

Neme + kayfun is my recommendation, have both been around for awhile now and both are proven to be a solid buy. Lots of upgrades for them, FT has a sweet hybrid kit for the nemesis and you can get nano kits and all sorts of stuff for the kayfun.

An Hcigar Infinite Stingray clone with a Hcigar or EHPro Kayfun topper. Both together should come well under your budget.

My Hcigar Stingray hits like a freight train, though I've read that some prefer the Infinite version better (not sure why). The copper version patinas up real nice too, even after just a few days use.

if you want big clouds you want an RDA; srry but is fact

Pick up a Stingray or really anything with a floating or at the very least adjustable pin. Copper contacts preferable IMO - have had trouble with sliver-plated brass (even if the copper is plated, it is still far superior as the conductivity is 4x that of brass). Or just plain brass is fine. Silver plated brass is a gimmick and won't last. Especially in a clone the plating on pins may be very cheap.

I'm diggin my Maraxus clone presently, after a little fiddling (although I did return a previous version I had, made by WALRUS, cause it was GARBAGE)

Okay I'm going to pick up a stainless steel infinite stingray. What RDA would you recommend?

I'd pass on the stainless stingray because they have not been receiving great reviews--poor build quality (I wanted one too!). I just received the brass stringray clone from FT (white box w/out drip tip) and it is very nice.

I'll second the tobeco kayfun lite + clone...very well-made and easy to use.

I've heard the stingray is an amazing clone from alnost everyone.

I'm leaning towards the trident v2. Ant reason I shouldn't get it? Also how are the fasttech kayfun 3.1s?

I have an IGO M on the way. It looks like total insanity but it was only $11 so I figured what the hell.
