Best method to clean bad flavor off an atty?

I read all of the atomizer cleaning threads. Though it seems that the majority of them are for cleaning off built up "crud". I have an atty that is only two days old and is still completely clean. The problem I'm having is that it is ruining the flavor of all the e-juices that I try. I used Revolver's clove e-juice on it and it is a thin dark liquid, but the smell and taste will not leave my atty.

I don't want to toss the atty away just because of a horrible taste. Is there any method that works on removing juice flavors rather than build up?

I did it last night: let hot water from the faucet run through it for a few minutes (maybe 4-5 minutes), hot enough to be holdable by hand, both sides, battery and cartridge side. Blow it without filling it with salliva, put a paper towel at cartridge end and shake it, do quick dry burn untill you see orange ( read it here on ECF on a cleaning thread). Rinse again in water, blow it, no dry burn this time but put it on a room heater or leave it in the sun for a few hours (I left it over night on the heater from the central heating system, water based heater, not ellectrical which is to hot I think). This morning I've put a fresh cart a little overfilled with liquid, left it for about a minute for the atto to suck up the juice, and voila, works better than ever before.
I've also washed the cartrige material with hot water and let it dry on the heater untill morning.
Good luck.

Yeah, just rinse it out with water and let it dry a bit. Doesn't need to be totally dry, but blow it out until you don't see any wetness on a tissue and you're good. I had the same problem after vaping a coffee flavor. New at this too - but warm water did the trick!

Good luck, and welcome to ECF. So much to learn but so worth the effort! :)

Thanks Chuck. I'm currently using warm water and alcohol at different intervals. Then I'll let it air dry for a couple days until my new flavors come. I ordered some new Atty's from TW for the 510 just in case the taste never goes away and I've ditched the cartridge that it was in. I'll probably just give the liquid away to someone.
