VTR as my main, MVP2 as my backup. As far as performance, I could go either way. VTR is better for my active life as an HVAC worker.

Does the VTR vape as well as the MVP?
Just saw a couple vids that show the MVP not using PWM just a constant output as you set; whereas, the VTR dOes use PWM. So the output level cycles.

My personal favorite is the VTR with an Aero tank.
I set it on 10 watts and forget it.. it just works.

Yes it is a fingerprint magnet.. so I shine it up a lot.
Yes it is heavy.. and it will dent a hardwood floor if you drop it.

I carry a spare battery and spare loaded Aero tank in a case.
I bought my first at my local shop and 3 more from FastTech.. just in case it gets hard to buy mods.

The leather holder for it is not worth buying however.

I seem to remember reading someplace that someone was gonna start making mods with an automatic draw, similar to erolls. Anyone heard of such a thing?
I ask because I'm a paraplegic and need one hand for gas/brake one to steer when driving and both to roll anywhere so an auto-draw to free up my hands would be awesome.

Hi TOny,

I can think of an "almost solution". I don't think there's a good PV that is automatic, and that you could just hold in your mouth. The battery would be too heavy.

What would be cool for you would be an "Automatic Passthru" - The battery would be in your pocket (or even cooler, plugged into your wheelchair battery!) There are lightweight passthrus available, but I've never seen an automatic (auto-draw) one; it is certainly possible. Do you have a friend who is handy with this kind of stuff?

I would have said mvp2
But I'm retiring mine
The center pin doesn't make. Contact with any ego clearos. I use my provaries for 510 , chi you clone for rda's

It's gotten a lot of use. I paid $43 shipped but owned less than 6 months. It still works. It's just the center pin Has to be adjusted all the time.

LadieKali,

I would highly recommend you get a 510-ego adapter. They fix the problem of the low center-pin very well, and you'll never have to adjust the pin on your mvp2 again.

That would be cool!!! Ima have to look into that! The circuitry would be easy to do, just finding the route for the hooks hose lol

The pieces are mostly there. Here's a starting point:
Passthru:
https://www.fasttech.com/products/1...iable-voltage-usb-passthrough-for-e-cigarette

Battery:
https://www.fasttech.com/p/1592002

This gives you a lightweight VV vaporizer, where the battery is just some USB connection (Perhaps this battery, but any decent USB port would work). You can put whatever head you like on it.

But, the passthru is a manual one, (button on the side that not only energizes it, but also does the "multi-click" to select the voltage). It's a starting point, but you would need to convert this to a breath-activated switch somehow. Or, perhaps, could you use a switch that is built into the cord, but that is down near one of your hands, so it's still a button, but one you can operate without letting go of your wheelchair controls? Just thinking...

It's an awesome idea! I use a manual chair but I have a portable motor and batter that assists the push- no controls the inboard gyro lets in know where I am turning from the power I send to the wheel so I still control it like a regular chair-just power boost.
But it has a huge lion battery pack that holds a 3-4 day charge
So a pass through I tied into that with either a button on the frame or I can take the autodraw sensor off of a disposable and tie all of that in!

Since the VTR is PWM at 47 hz does it have that rattlesnake sound like the 33.3 hz devices?
The answer is yes, if you are humanly able to hear that frequency. However, its not so much the sound which is important. It's the manner in how the output of power is sent from the processor to the coil.

Damnit!
Ok really don't wanna drop so much coin on one like a provari...
Is there a vv/vw unit that doesn't make that noise?

iTaste V3 and MVP.

as far as i know, yes.

BUT!

they're ego/pen style like a twist or VV V3, the MVP II or expensive.

although, it seems there's some china mods hitting the shelves soon if you're in for a gamble on quality with likely no warranty.

most notable mods that i know that don't rattlesnake (other than the provari) have either nivel chips or dna chips with the MVP being a diamond in the rough, especially at it's price point.

Gonna check your link out in a sec..
But yes I can hear they sound out of a buddy of mines vamo. Bugs the crap out of me when it's quiet. Quite frankly being an unemployed gimp fresh out of college I don't have the money for the provape model after looking more into it. So I'm back to square one.

Yes the provari is a well built pv that screams quality when you hold it and yes it has 800hz pwm that produces a smooth dc signal that provides a smooth consistent vape. While those things add value to a device, what really puts the provari at the top of its class as a regulated device is the voltage regulation that is second to none. When you set your voltage at 4.2 volts, you can take it to the bank that your provari is giving you 4.2 volts and will do so until your battery dies. And that's another thing, no other device I have owned or own is as efficient with battery life as my provaris.
