Thanks. I learned that was a stupid question that would produce a lot of great advice and what to do and what not to do. Thanks. Remember if you do not ask, you will not know. I am a CAD Engineer who just hit forty and I have already rebuilt several atoms that work way better than the factory build. I have read a lot on safety and still read daily, So I just get a little bugged when people try and push others away from the mech mods. But I can see clearly now why people do say that, because if you are careless and lazy and don't test your work BEFORE you apply it to the mod, you could ruin some decent products. That's just my little feedback. Thanks everyone for the replies.

Thanks 2naphish.......for making my decision go awry. I was so nailed on ordering my NEMESIS today, but after your read on the EHPro EA Mod . I am contemplating now. Especially since I have already seen what the Patriot looks like on it. I did not realize how huge The Patriot was until I had it on the Electric Angel. It make the IGO W look like a tic tac. But I do like the IGO W as I will use it for my first build and so on. Even the Patriot clones are a bit pricy. Anyway, I almost ordered the NEMESIS Clone by HCigar, unti I read about the true clone from HCigar as HCigar on the box instead of the Train. Do you know if there is a big difference? And for 10 bucks more I could get the EA and order a KICK 2 for it. What is your opinion?

Stupid question: What is the advantage of a mechanical mod compared to a VV mod? Except for size of course :)

The lack of limitations.

Take any VV mod and check the manual. You've got a minimum coil resistance, maximum wattage, maximum voltage, and an amp limit as well.

Mech mods have no limits. Your limitation will be your battery and what it can take.

i just like the look of the EA as far as telescoping mods go and the side switch is very comfortable. it has held up admirably as an all day everywhere mod. that is a personal opinion. i am generally not a fan of clones ever since i got my first high end mod (a vanilla copper). my personal preference is a single tube 18650 device. as far as the kick goes, i own 3. haven't used them since i started dripping. if you are planning on using say a carto tank or a standard topper they are pretty cool. that's what got me chasing vapor and flavor. now i control those with my builds while not having a mod a foot long.

the Patriot is a great dripper and is very easy to build. i put a titanium drip tip #10 ( http://www................../Titanium-Drip-Tip_p_233.html ) on it and am very happy with the performance and the look.

my personal favorite dripper is the Brass Monkee. neck and neck with the patriot as far as performance goes and even easier to build with the dual hole center post.

these are all personal opinions after buying a TON of various equipment. so many choices !!! lol!! come to think of it, how would i have learned what i like without try one of every style? tastes can change and the flood of products can get overwhelming. i'd say buy one setup, learn it very well before plunking those hard earned dollars on too many different toys all at once. best of luck.

How's the button in the EA?

My wife uses a 69 (She prefers a thumb button) but the button definitely could be better. I've been kicking around the idea of getting a Poldiac or Roller to replace it, but may go with an EA clone if the button is really good.

It's a shame the EA doesn't let you put the button on either end like the 69 does.

works as good as the first time i used it. those pink button kind of look like they would be flimsy but i haven't had a single issue with it.

Loooooooove the EA mod, they are just nails! They hit extremely well, the firing button is great, the floating 510 is fantastic. They tested the EHPro EA version and it performed better than ANY mech mod on the market at the time authentics included. In fact, it tested so well they thought they must have somehow screwed up the test and retested it several time. It's a winner for sure, everyone should own one.
