OP's original question is impossible to answer, as has been proven here every other day.

There is no 1 "Best Mod".

FWIW, my current favs are:

MMVapors Poldiiac + DID
GP Paps Lux + DID
SS Chi-You + DID

I realize these are high-end mechs and not for everyone....just proves that it's an impossible question.

Good luck with your search - you may want to re-phrase your question and re-post. :)

Yeah, how much do you want to spend, how durable do you want it and how many features do you want?
I love my Provari, but I could make my Legacy perform just as well with good shopping habits and knowing what to buy. I've sold it and have a Nemesis clone on the way. I have a Vmod and like it just fine, once I learned all the tricks, it's a "poor mans" REO.
I have an Altsmoke BB and an Altoids tin mod, they all work fine when set up right.
What are your expectations from this? What's the budget? Really, this is an impossible question without some idea what you are willing to spend and expect from it! You can spend anything from $20 to $2000 depending on what you consider the best options for you.

How important is durability? Will you be dropping it, working in rough environments? Will this just be sitting at home, in an office??

Right now my favorite is the Provari, it's "the best" for my needs. I'm hard on things, I've dropped it, thrown it (in vape shops to show the durability) and it just flat works. But durability was the utmost of my needs!
I've handled a REO, VERY well built, but I don't like the door on them! Sorry, but I can see being out in the garage, drop it, and the lid slides off under the car into a grease pit! (yes, my lifestyle includes this!)
The TRUE Nemesis is nothing short of incredible for a mechanical! Beautiful craftsmanship, excellent design, just an incredible piece of art! But I couldn't dream of carrying it out of the house! I wouldn't want a scratch on it! My brother in law would probably carry one around golfing just to show it off and be happy!
These are three mods, in the $200 range, that all do different things, in different ways, but make many people very happy! Anyone that owns any of the above will most likely swear theirs is the "best", but each meets and suits different needs. So now we need to find out what you want and need to be able to offer realistic options.

Yea the only way id drop mine is just being clumsy. At work i leave my old ... ego in a case till im using it. i dont mind spending more because the amount of money ive saved from not smoking id pay 500 if i knew it would be worth it. So mine is more for just sitting around vaping on a brake at work, in the car, or around the house. joyetech are just the only cigs i know alot about and id like to expand from them because im sure someone makes better ones.

At this point, I'm going to strongly suggest you do some reading on the options mentioned so far. See what you like and don't like about each one, look at pictures of how large or small they are, the options you do and don't like. See if you like a tube or a box. Look into the RBA section to see if that's something you'd be interested in or not. If you don't like the RBA's, are you going to be willing to deal with hunting down what you will need to keep a mechanical up and running? It's not always as easy as it seems with a mechanical, you have to purchase the carto's, drippers, whatever you need, in the ohms you need to make them right for you.
Do you like the idea of VV or is VW more appealing? Do you want a bunch of bells and whistles? Look at the Evic.
I'm sorry, but you are going to have to get an idea of what you want for us to be able to make a realistic suggestion. As I said, I'll push a Provari or REO, but until I know what you want from this, I've no idea where to go.

so ive been doing research the Provari seems like the one for me! has all the features i want and a battery i can take out. Plus it looks amazing. What would you say would be the next 2 up that are better than that? Do you have a place i can go look for mods with honest reviews. i cant find a place to see whats the next step up. I wouldnt mind spending $300-$500 i just dont know where to look. Sorry for being such a noobe but thank you so much for all your help!

Honestly, if the Provari meets your needs, I can't suggest anything above it! There is the Cyborg, at $260 that uses a DNA20 board, but it's either brass or aluminum, not SS. But it is capable of offering different battery sizes, even becoming a mechanical mod if wanted. I don't think it will ever become the "Provari killer" as it's sold as, mainly because of the "send it in and we'll see what we can do for you" mentality they seem to have! I don't agree with that! Provape, "Yeah, it's broken, this is what it will cost and we'll have it back in a week or so!"
And yes, I can verify the Provape mentality first hand!

I just read the info on the cyborg & just from the douchbagery it leaves my hands in working order & if there's a issue you're pretty much at fault & a idiot type talk seals the deal on me ever even considering purchasing 1 if they we're buy 1 get 1 free & total cost was 1.00 lol.

Yeah, I was trying to be polite about the lack of service I seemed to get from them.
