My Hana clone is on the fritz. I'm trying to find a box mod that can run the Atlantis well, that has a large battery life. Right now my Hana clone only lasts half a day with my habit and the Atlantis seems to be running it into the ground( I used a nautilus before on much lower watts). What I are the top three box mods available? I would like something simple, reliable, and higher end so I don't need to replace it for a long time. I'm sorry I keep asking questions. I don't want to go into b&m store and get sold something that I don't need.
Also, how do I make sure I won't blow up? I was sold the Atlantis with no knowledge of sub ohming. Im sing the 0.5 coils. I run the Hana at between 15-18 watts. I really don't want to somehow fry my gear or myself!

Any mechanical will work well provided you use 35 amp 18650's like the efest....I'm using an Antigo clone with one right now that I got from Fasttech for 18 dollars. It hits a bit hard for the first hour or so with a fresh battery, but doesn't seem to harm the coil at all, after that it works great for about 8 hours (which is coincidentally about when it's 2 ml capacity runs dry). Flavor is destroyed by this device though, unfortunately...:(

I've been running my Atlantis tanks at 40 watts on a Xpro M50. Check it out man. Its amazing how much power they have stuffed into such a small package.

It also has a rapid charge chip inside which means you can get a full charge on an 18650 in less than an hour using USB power.

I have the XPro too and that's a good choice too. Definitely more economical and it runs the Atlantis fine. But XSmini is just solid and sexy!!!

If you are running the Atlantis and have your Hana set to only 15-18W you aren't using it correctly. Its just dumping battery at that point, not regulating anything, and may be what is causing your issues.

The lowest voltage a Hana clone will output is 4.0v, so with a .5 ohm coil, you would need to set the device at 30w. Chances are if your Hana clone is anything like the ones I've used it will read the Atlantis coil at .6 ohm, and you can use 27-30w and still be regulated.

Basically if you see the ohms flashing when you fire the device it is not being regulated and just dumping battery.

Ok. So when I run it at lower watts nothing flashes on the screen. It says I'm running at around 3.7 volts. When I run it higher the vape is extremely hot, almost unbearable. My box mod only goes up to 30. I'm using nicoticket juice in the Atlantis and I can't taste anything at all( 3 different flavors in two different Atlantis tanks). I'm really ...... at this store. They just sold this to me basically stating that it was just a better version than the nautilus. Had I known, I wouldn't have bought it. What is the safest watts to run the Atlantis at on the stock 0.5 coils? Should I get a new box mod?( I was sold the box mod again worth ought any info. I went into the store and said I want to quit smoking and that's what the told me was the best. I paid 150 dollars for it...)

It only flashes when you fire the button.

If you are under 4.0v your device is not regulating, period. The DNA 30, and its China clone counterparts do not have step down.

The vapor shouldn't be hot at 30w on a Hana clone.

It sounds like your coils may not be wicking well. When you installed the coil did you put some drips of juice on it to "prime" it?

To me it sounds like your local vape shop did you a major disservice selling you that setup and not giving you any info on how to properly use it, and what it was actually capable of, etc.

That's not quite so true these days. Some of the newer clones seem to run a bit lower than 4v. The cDNA30 in the Cloupor Mini, for instance, will fire as low as 3.6v, which is right around 22w with an Atlantis coil (and it'll also do 3.6v in Voltage mode).

EDIT: I can fire my Cloupor Mini as low as 22.2w on an Atlantis without ohms flashing (does flash below that). It's reading 0.58 ohms and 3.60v when firing without flashing at that setting, but the ohm reading varies a few tenths up or down so 22.5w seems to be my safe regulated low spot, giving me some room for the ohms variance.

I always prime the coil. It's actually been working well at the lower watts except for the coils burning out very quickly which is what made me research( and the battery running out really fast, which now I know why). To be honest, even running the Atlantis incorrectly, you still get a better vape than the nautilus.

Now I'm having trouble with it spitting juice and burning my mouth( even at higher watts). I've cleaned both tanks out, and the coils are only a few days old. Both tanks are doing it so I have to be doing something wrong. The air flow is wide open and the coil is lined up correctly. It's driving me crazy.

Basically what I want is a large vapor production with good flavor that's a step up from the nautilus. I had no idea I was getting into sun ohming territory. My lungs can't keep up.
So now that I have all these coils and two Atlantis tanks that I can't use properly, now what do I do? Do I go buy a better mod( mine only goes to 30) or do I go buy a whole different set up? I don't want to rebuild. I want to stick in a coil and go but a larger vapor production that the nautilus produces. I've tried the kanger tank that's similar to the nautilus and wasn't impressed.

I feel like a hell of a lot of my money was taken by that store and I was sold products that I didn't need. I guess that's what you get for trusting "experts".
