Also not into rebuildables. Ty
- Aspire "nautilus"/"nautilus Mini"
- House of Hybrids "Kabuki"

I don't use these, because I am into rebuildables but from what I hear, they're among the best. I believe they both use the same Nautilus BVC or BDC coils, even though the Kabuki isn't manufactured by Aspire it's designed to use the same coil.

I am really liking the Serpent SMM. I adjust the airflow to mostly closed and use a restrictive drip tip and it's pretty dang good. It is rebuildable though. Supposedly PBusadro and Innokin are teaming up to make two new MTL specific tanks. One will be rebuildable but the other will be swapable coil heads. Unfortunately neither have been released yet. They are "coming soon".

So, your best bet will be a Kabuki, for nautilus coils. They are pricy. You might like the Nicolas Vapefly tank, it's a "MTL" topfill tank that is slightly sub-ohm. It has 0.6 and 1.8 coils, I like both but the 0.6 is quite cloudy, while still pooling in your mouth, it gives great flavor and vapor production, it's not expensive and coils are inexpensive and they last. I really like this tank a great deal, and I've seen it on sale for about $12.

Otherwise, you will want to get into rebuildables. If you are starting out, any of the Kayfun clones can work well for flavor, I'd suggest getting a clone first to try, as the originals are PRICY. Usually, you can get good clones from some of the Chinese vendors like Fasttech or 3F (I find 3F slightly faster in shipping).

Other good MTL tanks that get good flavor reviews are the Siren V2 (I have one ordered), the Vandy Vape Berserker tank (I have one ordered) a doggystyle clone (again, Fasttech will sell those) and right now is a good time to buy due to Halloween sales. Full disclosure, some people love the doggystyle, I have had a very hard time coiling it. I have set up a couple different Kayfun clones and they do have a flavorful, enjoyable vape. There is a Hussar Coppervape clone (again, order from FT or 3F) which with the airflow reducer can be a nice MTL tank with an easy build deck (2 post, and not tiny) and good juice capacity. It's a nice vape. I imagine others will chime in with favorites, but you do actually have some options at the moment.

Good luck,

Anna

That sounds good. Someone told me if you try mtl on a sub ohm it will be prone to flood and leak ?

I haven't had that experience, but I build my own coils so can adjust wicking. The only real issue may be getting some condensation in the drip tip that you may occasionally need to blow out. This will always happen when vapor/steam passes from a large opening into a smaller one.

I think that you can get a non MTL rebuildable to WORK, I'd imagine it requires a great deal of skill w/r/t coil building, wicking, and airflow. I personally wouldn't start out with a very very airy tank, honestly. I do think it might be prone to flooding and wicking issues, but also, it's just not designed for that, so why would you if there are other, well-known excellent alternatives? Give me a MTL tank that I can build a single, simple coil on at the right resistance and wick easily.

There's no need to make something harder than it is, but if you HAVE that experience, by all means go for it.

I have 4...Like'em all...Innokin Prism T18 & T22 / Kanger TopTank Mini / Aspire N2...I mostly use the Innokins because of their simplicity, great flavor, no leaks and the coils are cheap & durable...But they have no Air Control...I find the fixed air setting to be to my liking for pure MTL...Others mentioned above are all good tanks...

Get a Kabuki. It is an awesome tank. Quality and looks are also outstanding .

If you are serious about flavor and MTL please consider coil building as your next vaping-step.

Kayfuns are great, really great tanks, Kayfun Prime is available (just received mine today).

Haven’t tried the Berserker but it seems a very good atty (and it is not pricey)

Get authentic ones. Yes they are expensive but worth their price.

Question to those that have used both. I have only used the Kabuki clone. How much difference is there in quality of vape? I’ve had very good results with the clone. I know it has its quirks. But I’m on a fixed income. I ordered 2 more from FT for $17.76. The real ones are 79.95-99.95.
Is there that much difference in vape quality to justify the significant expense?

Reduce, I have an original and a clone, and IMO there is a significant difference in vape quality. The clones aren't BAD, but they offer nowhere near the flavor or vape quality than the original. For me, to get a satisfying vape I needed higher wattages (not sure what that was about) and the airflow is not as good.

I will also note that my clone got a coil stuck in the chimney, and things got really unfortunate when I tried to get it out, then replace it (after first just trying to screw in the coil the way it was... I wound up snapping a coil when trying to fix it, and unfortunately that caused a chunk to get stuck down inside the bottom of the shaft. I haven't been able to get it sorted out since, and I have tried multiple things. For 20 bucks, I'm not sweating it. I will say I vastly prefer the Vika Fantasy style clones (similar design to the Kabuki, better vape, as a clone, than the Kabuki clone (IMO) but again, airflow adjustment is a bit wonky, and still doesn't approach the flavor of the original. Plus, the original has a lifetime warranty except for the glass, I think, and that's a nice thing to have.

I'm really glad I got the original over the clone, it was my first "huge" vaping purchase, and I did buy another (on sale) over Halloween. There's no real comparison IMO, though the clone does offer benefits over the N2. It IS a better or at least comparable vape to the N2, but there is 3 ml capacity and the bottom fill is easier (IMO) than the topfill on the N2, which can cause leakage if overfilled. If I had to only use clones, I guess I would, but I don't regret my "big ticket" purchase at ALL. I got the newest version with more adjustable airflow so it will be interesting to see the differences....

That said, starting with a clone to see how you like the vape and how it's put together is not a bad idea IMO. I will say I've never had an N2 clone die, and my clone of the Kabuki is dead in the water at this point, it simply will not read....

Not if you're on a fixed income & the clones provide you very good results.

IMO, where the authentic Kabuki shines is when using the P3 connection, positive pin on power device to positive pin on head direct contact. no wonky insulator, spring, 510 threads or pin to cause connectivity issues.
I have P3 & 510 authentic Kabuki's & a few clones, yes in my opinion there is a very noticeable difference between the P3 Kabuki & a 510 clone, and a noticeable difference between authentic 510 kabuki & a clone.
But, if you don't have a P3 type connection power device, see my first sentence.

Just me, I'd say the Nautilus2 is a step above a clone kabuki.
