Having nickel coils that can go up to 80 and 100 watts is pretty much overkill, since there are no temp control mods that go up that high. DNA40's only go up to 40 watts, Yihi chips only go up to 50 joules, and the evic-VT goes to 60 watts.

You forgot about the Liasimo chip. Currently the highest powered, most accurate, and most user-friendly temperature control chip on the market. Granted, in temperature control mode it maxes out at 70W, but that's close enough to 80W to justify an 80W coil.

Why did you have to go and show me that!!! I love my Maganus, now they are adding Ni coils AND top filling? I have been using my Subtank Plus for the size, giving up quite a bit in flavor and clouds. When and where can I get the new Pro? Also agree about the Herakles, great tank! but 3ml just doesn't cut it.

It hasn't been released yet, should be coming to retailers in about two weeks. Freemax says they will begin shipping at the end of next week so they should be available right around the end of the month. I'm hoping to get one by my birthday which is coming up on the 29th to go along with my new Snowwolf 200W.

Don't know the pricing yet. I'm hoping it's similar to their current coils. I just picked up a 10 pack of their current coils for $28. Considering how long they last that should keep me going well into next year.

Assuming that the differential in pricing is similar to the Kanger and Aspire ni200 coils, it should be about $1 more per 5 pack.

What I notice is odd is that Fasttech sells the authentic Freemax coils for $27 and change for a 10 pack, but they also sell the 5 pack for $11 and change. Wouldn't it be cheaper just to buy 2 5-packs?

I have been using the Starre since it was 1st released and I have LOVED it from day 1.
(actually had one of the original releases then purchased the "fixed" versions when they made adjustments and mass produced them)

IMO it is the best tank for clouds/flavor on the market and that's saying something because after it's release there have been dozens of subtanks released that "try" to do high wattage and big clouds and great flavor and I haven't found one that can beat it..
I cant wait to see how this "Pro" version works

Is the starr really the best way to go if you want nickle coils with a dna40 mod? How's it compair to the Atlantis 2 with nickle coils?

My kangersub tank and nickle coils has issues. Constantly cleaning juice out of mouth peice. My dna40 flask doesn't read the temp right. I have to use atty lock to keep everything working OK. I'm going to try to poke holes in the wicks with my next coil. It also overheats very easily according to the temp read out...

I'm surprised no one has said this....

Freemax is releasing nickel coils soon, as in the next week or two. 0.15ohm dual vertical and 0.25ohm single vertical nickel coils will be available.

They're also releasing a Pro version of their Freemax Starre, which IMO is the absolute best subohm tank for airflow, flavor, and vapor production. The Pro version adds top-filling to an already fantastic tank.

IMO only the Herakles compares with the Starre, but the Starre holds more juice, which is a good thing because nothing else drinks juice like the Starre and Herakles do. Chain vaping with 100% VG at 70W and this tank throws out clouds like the best RDA builds. You can run it up to 100W or even higher and never get a dry hit, and now with the addition of temperature control coils and top-filling it's just about as good as a subohm tank can possibly get.

Don't know what the nickel coils are going to cost yet, but their current Kanthal coils are very reasonable at $15 for a 5-pack, and the coils last a LONG time. My friend has one that I've tried and he's been using the same coil for a month and it still works like new. He says he's refilled the 5ml tank more than 50 times with the same coil, and it shows no signs of giving out anytime soon.

Might this be the tank that can keep up with high power pre-heat and high wattage TC in general from a DNA200? Mine is coming Monday and having a tank is an absolute must for me because I am always commuting and don't want to drip and drive. I have the Smok TCT now and absolutely love it, but it seems like the Starre Pro can handle more power (Although I'll need to see if the TCT can keep up first).

Smok is coming out with a TFV4 which is a tank with a 3 and 4 coil(!!!!!) option, and I am wondering if they will produce those coils in nickel.

According to Freemax their nickel coils can handle up to 75W, so they shouldn't have any problems with higher watt settings in TC mods. In fact, if they're anything like the Kanthal coils they'll need those higher watts to work right. In my experience the Kanthal Starre coils don't really start working right until you hit 55W or higher and really shine in the 60-65W range. The vape is too hot for me at anything over 70W, but even at 70W it's not burning the juice.

Dripping and driving isn't even a possibility for me. 430 horsepower at the rear wheels and a 6 speed manual does not make for a drip-friendly environment.

You must be using the . 25ohm coils, I agree those hit their sweet spot around 65w, but they also have .5ohm coils that hit the sweet spot at 45-50w for those who want to run lower wattage option

rounding third and heading home...
from my first hit on a TC mod using a ni200 coil i was completely won over to TC vaping- IMHO any ni200 coil is much better tasting than the best kanthal coil. with the ni200 coils i get none of the metallic taste i get from a kanthal coil. i didn't realize i was getting that from my kanthal coils until i vaped on a ni200 coil. even my best non-TC mod(sx mini s class) can't compare in taste to the cheapest TC mod topped with a nice tank with a ni200 coil installed. i have had great vaping with vAir-T .25ohm coils and coils labeled v-C02(totally forget the brand-maybe someone here knows?) .2ohm coils in an atlantis, herakles, melo(yes, even a melo!) and any tank that can use an atlantis coil.besides the great , smooth taste an added benefit has been much longer lasting life from these ni200 coils. in most cases at least double the life and with my newer dna40 v5 devices even longer than that-with the sx mini m class it is almost, but not quite, as long as the dna40 v5 board(how ironic that evolv FINALLY got the dna40 figured out just as they move on to the dna200. wonder how many revisions it will take to get this board/chip ironed out?). even the kanger ni200 coils taste better than any kanthal coil. i know in all this YMMV, but for me there is no escaping that ni200 has enhanced my vaping by bringing much better flavor to the party- so much so that i have retired all my non-TC mods and vape only with TC now....

My thoughts as well from the first time I loaded up my m class with a subtank and a ni200 I was won over. I have tried just about all the ni200 pre built coils on the market and IMO so far the SMOK gct has the absolute best flavor and the coils last forever, I've had them go as long as a month and it was starting to lose its flavor but no nasty taste.

The SMOK sales reps claim they will not be coming out with ni200 coils for the TFV4. However, I'm getting one anyway just for the massive airflow single coil RBA head to do my own ni200/Ti Gr1 coils.

Eigate (Aspire parent company) supposedly makes the vAir-T coils.

If you like the SMOK GCT, but want more airflow/vapor, try the Smok TCT, love those coils, so far my favorite stock ni200 option.

Ah, haha, right on. Yeah, flavor is better on the GCT, I agree, I like the airflow on the TCT more though.

I'm looking forward to trying out the Zephyrus ni200 coils next, whenever they come out. Those look interesting w/ 26g ni200 and yet .15ohm, should be good.

That is one tank I haven't tried waiting on the herakles ni200 now may have to grab one when the ni200 coils release.
