I've been vaping since the begining of feb using a pen style with an automatic battery. I bought it in Spokane Wa before I moved half way across the country. I am looking into expanding my horizons and have been considering the joye510 or the ego but untill I did some more research I didnt realize there was that much of a difference between my smart smoke (pen style) and the minis. I want something that has a good battery life 8 hours plus would be awesome, the ability to hold a lot of juice, a good throat hit, amd minimal upkeep while being reasonably priced. I paid $160 for my starter kit and $55 more for an additional battery and atty. I like the fact that I can get a joye510 starter kit for that same price but again think I'd like/need something bigger without being too big. Long story short any sugestions?

I'm sorry you had to move from heaven to Wisconsin.

Pen styles: Early in my vaping career I was a fan of the Janty Kissbox. I loved the style. And, it didn't perform all THAT badly. It's collecting dust now.
For what it's worth, I bought the whole nine yards, which included both automatic and manual switches and it didn't take long to figure out manual was much better.

eGo style will satisfy your desire for longer battery life. Some would say it doesn't look as elegant as a pen style. But, presented with a handful of various PVs to some non-vaping lady co-workers, they unanimously picked the eGo-type as their favorite based on appearance alone. So, if appearance is a factor, don't discount the eGo-type.

Depending on your definition of big, an eGo battery is about 3/4th the length of the vision battery but 1.5 times the width. It will provide the charge duration you require and the atomizer is a bit shorter, depending on style of atomizer/cartomizer configuration, you can get about .5 mil to 2 mil of juice in them, depending on style.

Mostly by big I am reffering to the tank holding enough juice that Im not refilling more then once or twice a day. I am concerned that if I move away from the pen style I would end up refilling more and more. I like the look of the more slender pen style or the 510 style so I can stealth vape easier then a more robust size such as a cigar size or larger.

How much juice will the ego hold?
The eGo-types have a 510 connection, so you have a wide assortment of options.
My current holds the same as "10-15" analogs (although I get more like 5-10).
Ain't that curious? LOL.
I prefer to fill my own but I dont want to have to keep doing it all through out the day. Also what would you say the real world battery life would be for the ego?
I find a fully charged 1000 mAh battery lasts me through the better part of a day. Not the whole day, but say from leaving the house until afternoon breaktime. Nine hours for me.

honestly i dont know that much about it i got it from a local dealer in spokane. it is a smart smoke brand called the vision. all i know is it is a pen style with an automatic battery. I am sure it is nothing more then a rebrand of which i dont know but it does look almost identical to the dse 801. the company website for which i got my pv does not give any true details on the brand other then what ive pretty much stated. this is another reason why i want to broden my horizons. i want to know what im getting into

Personally, I have the eGo-T with a 1000 amh battery. I consider myself to be a heavy vaper, and my battery holds it's charge for nearly 24 hours. The tanks hold 1.1 ml, and I just pre-fill a few, put them in a tiny plastic baggie, making it easy to just pop in a fresh tank of juice when needed. My daughter uses the type B atty, same batt and the larger tank holds over 2 ml...I think. She also uses the pass-thru while at work, hooked up to her USB port on her computer. She seems to be very happy with that setup.
Good luck!

If you want 8 hour battery life you might get it with 2 280mah batteries. It depends how much you vape - if you vape a lot then you could get 1/2 that. Examples would be 2 charged Joye 510's w/ mega xl batteries (128mm long with a cartomizer), or 2 KR808D-1 w/ standard batteries (also sold by Vapor4Life, 120mm long w/ a cartomizer).

Do you need 8 hours out of one battery? If so then you have to get something that is not slim such as Ego or Riva 510 or some kind of big mod.

Battery charge life is battery size or number of batteries - you cannot get around that unless you use a passthrough and vape without a battery.

And BTW if your vendor charges $160 for a 510 kit then buy elsewhere. 510 kit w/ 2 batteries, 2 atomizers, some carts, charger should be under $40, a bit more with a PCC. My Riva 510 (a 750mah fat battery model) w/ 2 batteries, 2 atomizers, and charger/carts was under $30.

And I recommend manual batteries and cartomizers.

DSE801 is the most supported true Pen style (Pen style being the mouth end is fatter so it looks like a pen cap).

There are blank cartomizers available for DSE801 - most people end up preferring cartomizers on ecigs vs cart+atty so having a model with blank cartomizers available is important.

i definetly prefer to fill my own...are then any online dealers that are better (more reputable) then others that i should be looking into for parts? ive already been burned by paying far too much for a mall kiosk rebrand and dont want to make the same mistake twice by just grabbing the first website i find that sells 801 parts.
