From what I know, the DNA20 is the best there is currently.

You should do some research on batteries however.

Here is a good one: 1200mAh Turnigy nano tech 15c. Solder them in parallel to run more than one. They are LiPo which is going to be a lot better in the long run.

Mini USB charger rocks also.

If you head over to the mod building forum a lot of those people over there have already done DNA20 builds and one thread has a parts list for you. I am considering building my own, since I cannot find one for sale anywhere.

Thanks, I haven't really looked into much at all yet. I was actually going to have an electrical engineer friend of mine make me a board until I found out you can just buy them. I have a machine shop at my disposal so I wanted to go crazy. The 18000 batteries fit in my personal defense flashlights so I figured it would be a good route. That said, if there's better I am all for it. I was thinking of putting a micro usb in it so I could use my phone charger, but have done no research on that either... thanks again for the advice

If you have both an electrical engineer and a machine shop at your disposal it would seem almost criminal to not utilize them...most of the modding addicts here would trade a kidney for those personal resources. If I were in your shoes, I'd use the DNA20 as a reference and issue a challenge to your EE buddy to come up with something better, or at least something yours.

As for charging, a phone charger would take a very long time to charge parallel 18***. Of course if you already use the same batteries in other applications, having a spare set or 3 will be necessary anyway, thus eliminating the need for USB charging. The Nitecore I4 charger is great for any kind of battery given it's charging speed and ability to juice up 4 at a time.

Also keep in mind that two 18*** take up a good deal of space. If you're ok with an APV the same size as say, a personal defense flashlight, then never mind. Also check out side-by-side type mods for innovative examples of how to skirt the issue.

I am very new to vaping but it is in my nature to go over the top with much of everything I do. I dream of what would be the coolest ever and attack. I am a great machinist and thats not going to be an issue, but have a basic understanding of the electronics part and that is going to be a massive part of this. I really appreciate the input. You're probably right about the batterys. I suppose it is a bit excessive. I don't even usually kill a 1100 mah battery in a day.
