I'm new to this stuff and have purchased (in route) a bottom feeder Vapage vmod 2.0.

I hear the Cisco 510 LR atomizers are the best and can be cleaned for longer use. I just can't seem to find a good place to purchase them for a reasonable cost. I've seen some labeled
Cisco Spec.....is that the same as cisco or is it a knockoff using their design? Also with cleaning using alcohol how long do they last?

Thanks for the guidance....sorry if this is a common question....

I can't personally vouch for the Cisco stuff, as I haven't tried them yet. Everything I've read says the HH357s last quite some time, but then they're >$20. Pretty much all of this stuff is made in China, though, so quality tends to vary. Some atomizers last two weeks. Some pop after a couple days. I've got some that have seen off and on use for a year.

The bridge in an atomizer is a bit of steel mesh that perches over the top of the coil. It was necessary back in the dark ages when people used those awful cartridges that stuck in the end of the atty. Many dripping enthusiasts [myself included] find that it's more effective to remove the bridge, thus exposing the coil. Also, it makes it simpler to blow out the juice when changing flavors. The only real benefit these days is that the mesh will hold a bit of juice, allowing you to drip a bit more at a time. On a bottom-feeder like the Vmod, the bridge isn't going to do much good, and it's just one more thing between you and tasty vapor. In the end, though, it's a pretty minor difference.

As for 306 vs 510, I'm not entirely sure. I really like the way a 306 atty vapes, but I think that with the cone on the Vmod you might be limited in the drip tip you could use with it. The cannon style tips are great, but it definitely won't fit, and I'm not sure if you could squeeze a Cherry Vapes Universal in there, either. That leaves the thin plastic drip tips, which get rather warm on a LR 306. I think the Vmod comes with a couple hybrid attys, which have a 306 style coil inside a 510 body. Those are fantastic, but replacements will be expensive.
