Wish I had seen your post sooner. You made a very good choice. Hope you got the PCC with it. The carry case is nice but the PCC is a must have item if you use your 510 regular. It takes care of the most common complaint, short battery life. That was my only complaint since I was a heavy smoker and switched to e-cig completely. If the short battery life bothers you, check out the magnum batteries at TW. I now use the JS v2 for the longer battery life. It has its problems too but thats a different thread. Good luck and Enjoy!
I finally made a frickin decision. I'm going to purchase this.

510 Double Kit - Perfect for Friends or Couples Ready to Vape! - $200.00 : InnoVapor, The Finest in Personal Vaporizers

I like the combo of products and the options. It turn out to be a decent deal. Not a steal but a great package with what seems like little hassle.

I'm sure i'll like it and i'll give it a great review.

Thanks everyone for not letting me buy a crappy product and get taken.

Muah,
Sarah

The most frustrating part about the EVO is the cartidges. You gotta have a paper clip with you at all times to top off your cart, and they hold 1/2 the amount of a 510.

If you have only one shot to get this right, I'd get a mod right off the bat. Look into a Puresmoker Protege with a 510 adapter. The battery lasts 6 times as long as a regular 510, and has a great stainless steel finish. Getting a mod right away WILL save you a lot of money in the long run.

The Proteges are shipping on Monday if you are interested.

2 complete Protege packages are less than that mega kit you were looking at earlier from Innovapor.

Shame I didn't join up sooner. As an owner of both, I whole heartedly agree with these 2 posts
i have a 510 from totally wicked and i also have a evo from innovapor and i have to say i like the evo ALOT better! it has better vapor, throat hit, bat. life and it was smaller!! all around better e-cig! good luck with your choice!

I have a Dragon m401 and a 510 and they are both fine products that you can't go wrong with either way. The EVO is a m401 for all intents and purposes of this discussion same as the Dragon.

I was a heavy smoker for 32 years and I stopped the minute my Dragon arrived. I received it on 9/11/09 and I have not had a single tobacco cigarette since. I like them both though for different reasons.

The m401 style is perfect for dipping which is what I imagine you and your friends are going to do considering it is the cheapest option compared to buying your cartridges. You can also fill your own with the 510 and you can drip onto the atomizer but I prefer dipping to dripping because it's cleaner and easier for me. They both give good vapors and throat hit with the 510 producing a little more. The batteries are where the big difference for me comes in, the m401 batt's are automatic and they hold their charge longer. By automatic I mean that when you suck on the E-Cig vapor happens. The 510 is a manual battery and it doesn't last near as long between charges which is why I prefer my Dragon. Many people do prefer the manual batteries though because they are less susceptible to damage from dripping liquid in them because they are sealed.

Price is about equal both in initial cost and cost of ownership over time. I believe that the atomizers for the 510 are a little more expensive on average than the m401 but not enough to make a huge difference. Atomizers are consumables so you need to take replacement cost into consideration when comparing cost. Batt's are about the same.

If you do prefer to carry carts to dripping or dipping then the other big advantage the 510 has is that the carts for those are the bigger by far than the tiny juice holders in the m401 model. Either way you are going to be happy with either model talked about if your looking for help in stopping smoking or in switching over from tobacco. Good luck and I hope you find this helpful.

If you do decide down the line to try an EVO / M401 but like the idea of a manual battery, East Mall have just released the EM4 which is a manual version of the M401 & is fully compatible with the EVO & other M401s.

Your mom said not to say...
Congrats on your choice of a 510 model I am sure that will do wonders for you. If you really don't want to feel like you got rooked or experience buyers remorse I would not order that $200 kit for doubles/couples when you can get the same thing for a lot cheaper than that. You have done the research so far on what kind you want, I really urge you to take it to the next step and do the research on the best price for your product. Just off the top of my head I can think of half a dozen places to get 2 complete kits with PCC's for about 40% of the price you are willing to pay. I was under the impression that money was a bit of an issue. I want to go so far as to say that if I can't find the exact same thing for half the price I will pay the difference in price. I know for a fact I can find two complete 510 kits for $100 or less.

Sludge made a good point as well. It probably won't be an issue for you at this point but it may be one later down the road. The manual battery is out for the m4xx series for those that prefer it. I am retired and the loudest thing at my house is me yelling at my kid when she screws up which thankfully ain't often, so I don't worry about noise setting it off. Some people though that can be a serious issue. For what it's worth I prefer my Dragon which is the same thing as the EVO, dipping is just nice and easy, and I like the draw on it and the auto function, even though I may be in the minority on that last part with all these young whippersnappers in here complaining about the club life setting off their electronic smokes, lol!

Oh and Sludge it don't matter to me but I don't want you to get your penis smacked for double posting, there is an edit button to extend, or correct a post you have up, fyi.

Not sure there is for us noobs (at least not one that's obvoius to spot).

The manual is also a life saver for me when I'm at work (I'm a mobile DJ) I did consider lining all my autos up on top of my mixer to add to the light show :)

I looked at innovapor's 510 Doubles Starter Kit, since $200 seemed way too high for 2 kits. Looks like it has a lot more-

  • 4 Complete Manual 510 Personal Vaporizers - (4 Batteries, 4 Atomizers, 4 Empty Carts for direct dripping)
  • 4 Extra Atomizers - 8 Atomizers Total!
  • 2 Pelican Pocket Cases - (holds 2 Complete 510s, 1 USB Charger and carts) - Or you can get: - 2 Personal Charging Cases, PCC (instead of Pelican Case, PCC holds 1 battery, 1 atomizer, 2 carts and charges the 510 while on the go).You can also get one of EACH case! Select case option from drop down menu below.
  • 2 USB Chargers (fits in optional Pelican Case)
  • 8 3ml bottles of ECOpure
  • 16 Blank ready to be filled cartridges.
Not too bad considering you can get 2 PCCs.

before you buy that check out totally wicked's 5 packs. The mega power batteries are about an inch longer, but last three times as long. you can get a 5 pack of mp batteries and a 5 pack of atomizers and buy your accessories separately and probably come out better
...but do bear in mind that there is no warranty on the TW multi-packs

I sent you a PM

Before you make that decision, I have both and I hate my evo. It doesnt give enough of a cigarette simulation to make me stop, if that is your intention. It shuts off automatically mid drag always leaving you wanting a complete and full drag. I love my 510 manual. As a matter of fact I love all my ecigs better than the evo. The only thing I use it for is testing liquid when I am mixing flavors. I think that one was a waste of money

Send it here then, 'cos we love our EVOs far more than the 510s! ;)

How long do you suck on the damn thing for???

EVOs have either a 5 or 7 second cut off, that's quite a long time to inhale. Sounds to me like you've got a faulty battery.

P.S. Wanna swap for some unwanted Titans?

You won't regret it. Good package. You can pick up some mega batteries later if you think you need them but with the PCC you likely won't. That said, I do like the megas - just bought a 5 pack, but when going out, I prefer the regular batts on the 510. They fit well in the little cases I have.
