Ok, still kinda new, so I hope this is the right section.. Got a Provari 2.5, came with the Protank 2. I got tired of the Protank constantly leaking, tasting burnt, inconsistent heads right out of the package, yada yada yada. I decided I wanted to try a rebuildable(RTA) tank atty. Instead of buying the Russian 91%, and finding I didn't like it or whatever, I went with something cheaper to get my feet wet first. Enter the Prometheus clone.... Im attatching pics for all this in the order discussed, just FYI. Anyway, I bought some 32 ga. Kanthal wire, and some organic cotton balls, and had at it. My first two coil attempts using a 3/32 drill bit sucked, so I made a tool for winding coils. I took a small hobby(for my RC cars and trucks) allen driver which had a .073 shank and drilled a hole through the taper on the handle very close to the shaft of the tool. I put one end of my wire in the hole, use the marks on the tool as a reference, and twist the tool in my fingers until my desired number of wraps is achieved. I made a dual coil setup with a resulting 2 ohm resistance, and Im vaping it on my Provari with 4.5 volts with 70/30 juice. Im seriously loving this thing, and cant wait to get my Russian 91!!!!!

I twisted some 30, using my drill and holding the other end with pliers, came out great, but wow, what a low, low resistance hahaha. I put a coil with 8 wraps, and it was like 1.5 or something crazy low. It would be fine for a single coil, and I probably will do that when I get my Russian 91, but for this dual coil, I dont think it would work. Insight?

When it comes to building, I don't really have any insight. Main thing is to have fun, try different builds, and see what coil vapes the way you like.

After 2 months of building, I have found a setup that I like, 26g, 4 wraps, 7/64 drill bit. Comes out to .3 ohms and makes huge clouds on my igow4.

Hoping to get Kayfun or Ithaka style topper to build and try on soon. Look on Instagram for some awesome close up pics of builds. Also youtube helped me too.

I picked up my Chi You clone at a local shop for $38 bucs (promotion price)

Look on ebay, I got my buddy a nice Chi clone for $29 free shipping in USA.

Keep up the good builds, mechs are good for at home use. I rebuild my Protank2 attys for on-the-go use, but the vapor production is still sub par compared to a Kayfun or Ithaka style tank setup.
