So, I'm still new to the variable voltage world. I've had my twist for a week or so now. Really enjoying the performance increase over my kgo. I have a question, though. I read in another section that it's not recommended to use low resistance atomizers with the twist. Why is that exactly? I assumed it would be the other way around since the twist isn't capable of the higher voltages other VVs can handle. What resistance and corresponding voltage setting are people typically hovering around?

Might want to look at the steeljan video on the twist. Somebody wrote down the numbers yesterday (i'll look), and there was a comparison of the 1.5DC and 2.5SC and the max wattage was about the same, so i'd imagine the least strained (amps) to get to that number the better for the battery and carto/atty.

I'd think that to test your juices from cool to hot, a good way to do that would be to have the ohms in the middle-2.5,3.0.

    Load 2.6 ohm Boge Carto
    Setting/ Avg Volts/ Current/ Watts
    3.2 volts/ 3.22/ 1.32 amps/ 4.2
    3.7 volts/ 3.55/ 1.46 amps/ 5.2
    4.0 volts/ 3.87/ 1.60 amps/ 6.2
    4.4 volts/ 4.22/ 1.75 amps/ 7.4
    4.8 volts/ 4.85/ 2.04 amps/ 9.9

Load 1.2 to 1.5 ohm DC Carto
    Setting/ Avg Volts/ Current/ Watts
    3.2 volts/ 3.19/ 2.47 amps/ 7.9
    3.4 volts/ 3.49/ 2.68 amps/ 9.3
    3.7 volts/ 3.48/ 2.69 amps/ 9.3
    4.0 volts/ 3.46/ 2.65 amps/ 9.2
    4.2 volts/ 3.46/ 2.66 amps/ 9.3
    4.6 volts/ 3.43/ 2.65 amps/ 9.1
    4.8 volts/ 3.43/ 2.65 amps/ 9.1

Here is a nice chart to give you an idea of what resistance you want to use with what volt. Remember: a 1.5ohm dual coil consists of 2x 3ohm attys in parallel...producing 1.5ohm. So when you see something labeled "1.5 dual coil"...it really IS 1.5ohm.

And for more precise figuring...and finding out what wattage you REALLY like to vape...here is a good calculator:
    http://www.the12volt.com/ohm/ohmslawcalculators.asp#power

Just plug in the known factors you have (volts and ohms) to get the watts in the suitable section. You can then find out even more stuff from there. Personally...I generally vape between 5.8 watts to no more than around 8.4 watts. I have a friend who prefers 11 watts, but that seems a bit extreme to me. Everyone is different, however. One of the beauties of using VV (at least some of the time) is finding out what really does work for you, and with the juice you are using. For me the eGo T Mod on regulated mode (3.4volts) is fine with a 2ohm or 1.7ohm ...and the Smok telescope is also. I can even sometimes use 1.5 duals with the telescope (depending on my mood) because it runs a little higher voltage than the eGo T Mod does on regulated mode.
