Right!!! Go stick your gammy leg somewhere and rest it  :D ...I'll bet you know who I'm talking about if I say I was listening to Howlin Wolf/Smokestack Lightnin' earlier!!! Really! ;)

I have a very diverse taste in music ...Beethoven & Puccini to Dire Straits, Jansch, Graham, Hendrix ....

 Oh dear!

Now we're talking!!! Howlin' Wolf, Big Joe Williams, Peter Green (guitarist for the real Fleetwood Mac), Casey Bill Weldon, Norman Beaker et al...

Did you ever listen to Pentangle or Fairport Convention Pictor? Fairport's Babbacombe Lee album is one of the best albums of all time in my opinion.

Bert Jansch influenced so many artists and I feel he does not get the credit he deserves. By Graham Pictor, do you mean Graham Bond?

But this Clapton guy...is he a member of the Tory Party or Labour Party?

Glee! In the 60's I frequented a coffee bar, and in the back room there was a dance floor & stage. We had visiting groups quite often and heard a lot of the latest stuff, including the best Blues/R&B.

Absolutely! I never had a Fairport Convention album though, but I've still got Pentangle. Fairport have just brought out a new almum: Myths and Heroes, and are still playing live.
I liked some of Brubeck and Gary Moore too.
Pentangles 'Light Flight' was the theme for a series set in London in 69 & 70: Take Three Girls - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I remember us sitting in a field on a supposedly nice summers evening (was cold & damp with mist coming off the sea) thoroughly enjoying a concert by Lindisfarne. Must have been late 70's.

No, Davy Graham - I love both versions of Anji/Angie :)
I've had the pleasure of hearing one of our sons gradually learn to play that very well - helped him buy a rather nice Martin guitar last Christmas :)
He has a Les Paul electric too, and does some rather good stuff on that - I had him learn House of The Rising Sun ...makes a rather good instrumental!

Pentangle is amazing:)
Definitely! :thumb:

Now look! I'll have to get over there and remonstrate with you! ...oh  that wouldn't work - you'd have me reading books to you 24/7!

Actually, I'd prefer Clapton or your president to most of our politicians! ......You know who Clapton is! I love this at 40 seconds in: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fX5USg8_1gA He doesn't need to sing, just play!

Neat! ....now don't overdo it!

See??? I knew Pictor ROCKED!!!!

There must be some way for Pictor to verbally give her posts. That way she no longer has to type, and us guys can hear her talk to us.:wub::wub:

Oh yeah...that politician Clapton was pretty good, thank you for the vid. I would have gone to that political rally. Enough about Clapton. My only regret in life is that I was not the guy who spray painted "Clapton is God" in the underground station in Islington.

Weren't the 60's great? I somewhat remember it. I would have loved to seen all those English bands playing in the small clubs in England. I hear there was some club called The Cavern that would have rocked, the Yardbirds, The Who, Rolling Stones, Animals, Jethro Tull, Bowie, and Yes at the Marquee, only to mention a few bands...yeah England rocked!!! And Pictor was there...I am sooo jealous....

Sorry about bringing this back on topic... Here is a twisted 28 I've been running for the last week. 6 wraps around 2mm = 0.65 ohm.

And hopefully you can see the coil glowing through my drilled out air hole. I didn't get the pic angle right, but the bottom of the coil is right at the middle of the hole.
