You're welcome for making it. Figured if I can help one person (before I ever knew it'd get as popular as it has within Reoville) it'd be worth it.
This pretty much sums us up haha

That's awesome Danny!!!

I experience this as well with Rayon (Cellucotton). I'm starting to prefer it over anything else. Just can't help it. It is what it is.

Me too! In everyone of my attys.

How do you guys twist your wire? By hand?

I would encourage you to visit several different YT methods on wire twisting, NOT to take anything away from Danny's method, which I LOVE! Utmost respect to you dbrandt01! There are several methods from which to choose from though...

It is important that you understand how pitch twist (The distance between each "ridge" on the twisted wire. Use 0 for non-twisted wire (parallel strands). For improved accuracy: Count 10 ridges, measure their total width, and divide by 10.) affects the ultimate ohm outcome of your coil.

I have found that the "pen twist" method produces a looser pitch twist than a power drill does. As long as you are good with counting ridges then either method is perfect.

You can then enter the pitch twist value into Coil wrapping | Steam Engine | free vaping calculators for a less frustrating, safer coil building session.

Sorry sweet pea, everything you typed in the above post just went over my head! Lol if you want me to understand it, you'll have to dumb it down a bit!

All I was saying is that the tighter the twist (using a power tool) the less input into steam engine you need to do...
When twisting by hand the twist is looser so you have to input the twist pitch in steam engine (this can also happen if you change twisting methods or tools and your twist comes out differently than usual). Otherwise, you may not get the build you think you are going to get...

My builds are starting to run .4 and below so it's more important that all my input to steam engine is as accurate as possible.

Grover, do you tilt your coil like he did on the rm2? Would I need to make my air holes bigger on my rm2 using the twisted wire?
Took me a bit to find this pic, this is a triple twisted wire (and I'm not suggesting that you need to do triple) that is in an Rm2. It's got a 7/64 internal diameter. It's just about as big as will fit in an Rm2 so anything smaller you should be able to fit without having to tilt the coil.

I have my air hole drilled out to 3/32, but that is really extreme as well (I do big lung hits). The only time you would have to open your air hole is if you aren't getting the flow you need. Twisted doesn't necessarily need more airflow...

They'd better - otherwise the farmers will make a trip to Florida

Season ends around Easter and that will give me some time to get the Handycam to the shop. I'm still googling replacement touch screens and how to replace before I send the whole unit in for repair...

hehe I'm just givin' you a hard time bro :) I'd never stick the farmers on you, that'd be downright evil of me. I am thoroughly stoked though. I'm a twisted nut too as you know and I understand twist pitch to a degree but I never use calculators I just twist her nice and tight as all hades and see where she lands me. It'd be cool to learn more about it all from you via vid, and I look forward to it :) also to seeing your crazy triple twisted clapton fused whatchamacallit builds! You freak :)

Look in the flavor chaser thread again for my two latest. You'll have some new wire to play with soon! [emoji3]

Who is this Clapton? He must be an English politician we don't hear much about in the States.
Right!!! Go stick your gammy leg somewhere and rest it  :D ...I'll bet you know who I'm talking about if I say I was listening to Howlin Wolf/Smokestack Lightnin' earlier!!! Really! ;)

I have a very diverse taste in music ...Beethoven & Puccini to Dire Straits, Jansch, Graham, Hendrix ....

 Oh dear!
