I'm going to suggest either a MVP 3 Pro
or the Joyetech Evic Vt. They are both capable of 60 Watts while the Provari is limited to around
20 Watts or so. You might want those extra watts later on. You can do some serious cloud chasing with
either of these.
They also support Subohm Vaping so if you want to go into dripping they will go down to .20 Ohms and less on the VTC. With either of these there really is no point to a mechanical unless you want to vape at levels close to a hard short. Pretty dangerous.
Both are box mods. Both have batteries built in so you save on a charger and batteries.
The evic is very tiny, I'm tempted to buy one myself for stealth vaping. It fits completely inside my hand. Not sure about form factor of the MVP3 Pro
Myself, I've found the 40 Watt to 60 Watt range to be my sweet spot and would be totally dissatisfied with a Provari. Actually when I felt that I had redundant mods I ended up selling the Provari and keeping a MVP1 because of the tremendous life of the battery.
I have Mechanical Bottom Feeders and they are gathering dust.
Both available at a sweet price point for around $60.00

The Evic kit even comes with a decent tank [arguably]
MVP3 Pro

Also paired with tank or alone.
The Mvp 3 Pro is the simplest setup. But the Evic is doable if you read the manual or watch the YouTube videos.
From there I think that Tank Technology is just about on par with dripping [Arguably]
I suggest a Uwell Crown Subtank
or
Tobeco Supertank Mini [For Stealth]
I strongly suggest before purchasing a setup go to youtube.com and watch the reviews.
So for around $70.00 to $80.00 you can get simple setups that will provide excellent performance. This was unheard of when I began vaping 6 years ago. Up until the past year or two if you wanted a good setup it would set you back $200.00+
