Best single 18650 for DNA20 (30)?

The information seems a little scattered. So I thought I'd ask in a post....From what I understand, in a single 18650 battery DNA20/DNA30 device the ideal goal is a high mAh battery with low internal resistance.

What is low? There seems to be a HUGE range of internal resistance in what I'm assuming are quality batteries like Sony, Samsung, LG, Orbtronic, Panasonic... not sure how Orbtronic internal resistance can differ from Panasonic spec sheet if they're using the Panasonic cells? But that's why I'm asking.

I'm a new owner of a Futura DNA20 single battery tube mod...and I'm just trying to figure out what I need to look for to get the most vape time with the last amount of voltage drop...

I agree with Nouseforanick, I have both and both are my choice for 18650's right now.

The best battery for you will depend on the wattage you vape at, but its hard to wrong with either of those batteries.

I've seen some of those LG batteries that say they require 4.35v charging to reach proper (maximum) capacity. My charger is a nitecore i4, so I'm not sure how to "properly" charge those 4.35v batteries

Personally, for a DNA20, I'd take the Orbtronic 2900 mah 10 amp battery from fluid vapor. I've had a dozen of them and performance is great, the DNA20 is only 7 amps max current so those are plenty for it.

I don't believe either of those batteries will work with a Futura which requires button top. Those pics appear to be flat top.

I don't have a futura but I don't see how an adapter would defeat the built in RP protection. The adapters I have seen go on the battery. Plus a magnet is a cheap and easy adapter that sticks to the battery.

Magnets are bad ideas for positive terminals. Potential to short between top terminal and side of mod.

If it can be stuck to the wrong end, it can defeat the RP protection. The Futura has no internal protection and relies on the nipple to provide it.

I have several replaceable battery kick2 and DNA mods and none of them have RP protection. If I put the battery in the wrong way (which hasn't happened yet) I'll just chalk it up to being my fault....since it would be my fault.

I'm good with that. I've read your posts and I think you know what you're getting in to. I still wouldn't suggest it to a new vaper like Phone Guy though.

I'd be most concerned about magnets moving when a device receives a hard impact, such as a drop.

I've been using a magnet on some flat tops in my provari. After several chest height drops including two within ten seconds.... I think I reliably say it won't move. Magnets are strong and they're also squeezed between contacts when installed. Some say nooooo, I'll continue to go.
