I use Imeo's wick from COV and it tastes great. I do torch it and the wire before making a coil. I like the 3 or 3.5mm best. I run quite a few Phoenix clones with it. The one I use Boba's in, I have to dry burn every couple of days. It actually tastes better after a dry burn than a new coil. Usually get about two weeks out of them before making a new coil. If any of your coil is glowing it will cause a bad taste. Make sure the wire is close enough to the wick to get juice and no long legs that might be getting too hot.

I'm on the same mission. I've heard good things about the Imeo silica sold at Clouds of Vapor, but they are usually sold out. Price isn't a concern for me, just want some really good silica of high quality that can take some abuse and have clean flavor.

I second this! Definitely the best I've ever used. I vape about 30ml a day, at least 15 through the same iGo-L and I have been dry-burning it clean every day for about a month and a half now with minimal signs of wear and no noticeable flavour drop. I use .6 - .7 ohm coils and dry burn it at 7.2V!

Do they still sell Imeo wick at COV? They show the bulk 10 meters of 3mm wick for $20 but it doesn't say it's Imeo. The Imeo isn't listed anymore, not that I'm finding anyways.

Nice! In running a .7ohm right now, I need to try this cov silica. What mod are you running you .6-.7ohm coils on?

I think all their wick comes from Imeo except any pre made wicks that come with attys. I usually torch about a foot or so at a time of the wick and wire. I keep these in small baggies so they are ready when I need them. Last re wick session I built them all with 2mm wick doubled at the coil. The tails are easier to tuck into the well, but that's the only advantage. Switching them all back to 3mm this weekend.

I use Bobas with my silica RBAs and I generally have to rebuild after about a week, or sometimes less. Could dry burning help this?

By the way I have mistakenly burnt a wick in the past and I just couldn't get rid of the burning taste afterwards, is there a method to dry burning silica that prevents this?

ekowool from Russia I heard works well--it's braided too. Not available in the states though.

Kidneypuncher.com sells Ekowool, but very expensively and they are out of stock atm. I get mine from ecigwizard.com, a uk store but inexpensive and reasonable shipping. they sell 1.0 1.5 and 2.0mm I think...check them out

We don't currently sell Ekowool, but we are looking into it. We sell normal silica wick (yes, currently out of stock till probably next Monday) and we sell XS-18 and XS-116 which are made in the USA silica sleeving products, not normal wick.
