If the rumored price has any truth to it, I don't really see it being a problem for those who are passionate about their ProVari/s.

Or those with a fat-enough bank account.. ;)

Which is part of the reason why I think they're keeping the V2.5 around..

Nah, I would expect to pay more for a higher performance product..

And to ProVape's credit, seems like they've been going in both directions lately, pehaps to satisfy a larger segment of the market.. A gold ZenKote with non-red LED would run you $245 regular price.. At the same time, I recall satin silver (red LED) blems going for $117 sale price during the Memorial Day sale...

Furthermore, I noticed that gun metal ZenKote dropped not once -- but twice -- in price, when its launch finally went live..

10% off sales are also becoming more frequent...

My next PV may very well be a P3, but at that price, it won't be happening anytime soon..

And I'm sure it will still do fine without my immediate participation.. :D

I already anticipate a bunch of used ProVari's hitting the classies when it is finally released, that is depending on feature set, pricepoint, and initial first hand reports from the street from the first to get them. The ProVari is already priced at a point at which many folks deem it a luxury item.

I don't necessarily see it that way so much anymore..

Yeah, you can still get your $40-$50 PVs that may last 6-12 months..

Then again, something like an innokin 134 can run you $130 (up to $160) or 134 Mini at $110 (up to $160).. Sure, they may or may not include a $20 clearo in a kit form..

Or go a little lower down to the $100-$120 range for an Innokin VTR or a couple newer sigelei models..

And these are from the larger, more competitively-priced online (non-fasttech) places -- not some local B&M...

Is a ProVari at $117 - $180 really that bad, considering?

Last week I paid $159 for a non-blem satin silver (red LED) with 650 extension cap.. I'll take that over this..

eVic.jpg

(I'm sure it's okay for some people, but.. ProVari... :D)

And I won't even get into all the PVs going for $200, $250, $300+.. which seem to be popping up more & more these days, becoming the trend..

Not to mention the next tier at $400-$700.. Or cracking $1K-$3K..

Anyway, not faulting ProVape for putting the P3 around the "whispered" price-point.. I'm sure it's a decent value for what it brings to the vaping table.. Just to be aware & perhaps plan accordingly..

And maybe realize that the V2.5 still kicks ...., regardless of the P3's presence.. Seems like ProVape is, by keeping it around...

I never said it was necessarily bad. Didn't even mean to imply that that is the case. I have read many posts where people stated that the Provari price range was high for them. I've got four ProVari's, so obviously it is of no concern for me personally. I only imagine that some folks, more than a few, will sell off some current vape gear to fund the purchase of this unit if its in the guesstimated price range and if the feature set is a wow factor for them.

I'm not Verified, but I'm sure they've already been popping up in the Classifieds for the past couple months now for that very reason, and probably will continue a while yet, at least until the initial buzz of P3 wears off (however long that will last)..

I bought one of those $40-$50 PVs (Sigelei Zmax V3).. Nice step up from an eGo type.. But aside from its lousy 33.3 chip, it's a Chinese-made piece of junk that started slowly falling apart over the months.. The outer stainless steel shell is decent, but the internals -- and vape -- are garbage...

Was it worth it at that lower price? It's now sitting in a drawer, going unused since ProVari #2 came along, wondering what I'm going to do with an ailing PV with very little resale value, and probably only good for those willing to break it apart & attempt to fix it (I know some others at ECF have tried operating on them multiple times)..

I guess I got my money's worth, since I used it daily for 5-6 months..

But honestly? I'd rather have a third of a ProVari that I'd still be using, instead..

I don't know, maybe it's just a little easier for me, since I used to spend $60 on a carton of smokes (obviously I don't live in a tobacco state, and had to cross state-lines for even that).. And I've also been transitioning to DIY e-liquid, which saves big bucks..

So, that $40-$50 PV wasn't exactly a good deal, if you ask me.. I know I'm preaching to the choir, but non-ProVari owners need to understand that.. That in the longer run, you end up saving money with a ProVari (or something in its class)...

It is pretty much a given that it will be VW. Big question is 20w or 30w. From the info I got I am leaning towards 20w. I personally don't need 20w let alone 30w. I rarely vape over 10w as it is. I can't think of anything else that it would bring that would make me need one. Flat top cap would be nice. Floating 510 pin would be as well. But I live without them now so......

I've heard from multiple sources that they have not been working on VW.

Considering they're not discontinuing the v2.5, I have a feeling that people are making 1 big error in their predictions - that's it's an upgraded 2.5... a 2.5 with this, or a 2.5 with that. With the new information that's come to light in the past couple months, I'm pretty sure we're looking at a whole new device altogether instead of expansions or upgrades. It's like trying to predict the Provari before it was released, based on the Provape-1.

It is a whole new device that will be sold along side the v2.5 and it is VW. Those are known variables. Everything else is speculation rumor and wishful thinking ATM.

Yep - that's what I think, too.
My guess is I'm going to take a glance and immediately decide that I either HAVE to have one, or that it's not really right for me...
I figure it's almost 50/50 chances that the day they launch the P3, I'll buy a satin or gunmetal 2.5.
Cuz I do need another device...
