Guys,
Can you point me to the best (in your opinion) tutorial for rebuilding my own coil?
I'm not there yet as I just started out a couple of weeks ago and still operate with tanks with replaceable coils, but I can see the future :)

So I'd like to be proactive and 1) understand what's involved; 2) make sure I buy all of the necessary equipment.

Thanks,
AlBaron

Just a stab in the dark here since there is a high chance that you are using kanger products this is the video that I used how to rebuild those. It gives you a good idea of what is involved into wrapping a coil for a rebuildable tank and dripper as well as far as wrapping a coil.

Edit: It would be very irresponsible of me to not recommend getting an ohm meter of some kind when you rebuild coils at any level... So please get an ohm reader

On what make and model atomizer? It is slightly different for different makes of heads.

Or exactly alike for a Kayfun.

But in the end they are all the same. You wrap Kanthal A1 around some type of mandrel and then connect it to the + & - sides of the base or replaceable head.

At this point I'm guessing it will be either an Aqua or a Fogger V4 (I've been reading that these are preferred over the Kayfun for the "straight to lungs" smokers like myself)

those two atomizers are harder to coil on if you don't have experience doing so, but I've coiled many dual coils on Aquas. The first one takes a while, but you'll get progressively better until it's easy

Kayfun would be easier to coil on to start based on you being able to sit the coil on the deck. it makes it slightly easier to trap your leads, then pulling up your coil to remove any shorts

Don't know about that as I don't own either of those. But I lung hit on my kayfun's (I'm actually trying to stop doing that).
