I have several v4l batteries and 2 tanks and only 2 batteries work. I understand I need a battery with a higher ohm or voltage (sry im a newb with the terms and such). I bought a stealth xl (Iirc) and it works with neither and my green tank only likes to work with my green battery and a pink tank only likes to work with a pink battery. Unfortunately my green one is a mini so it only lasts me about 2 hrs.

I've read the Ego is good for tank usage. I don't want to have to buy a ton of batteries for my tanks. Im partial to tanks and my bf seems to like cartos better. Also all my batteries are 808s. I guess I need a long lasting battery lol.

Thanks in advance :)

What types of tanks do you have? Carto tanks? You can use just about any tank on any battery (provided they use the same connection) If you're using a dual coil carto in your tank, it probably won't work. What you need with cig style batteries is a single coil carto around 2 - 3 ohms. The leaking... you could be puffing too hard when you take a drag. Most carto tanks are gravity fed each time you take a puff. Word of caution, do not use a tank, clearomizer or drip on an atty using an auto battery. It's just too risky unless you like buying new batteries.

I use my tanks on my XL batts, or my ego and bigger batts with an adapter. It depends on the juice and the resistance of my carto on which I like it best on. I have a tank with peacemaker peppermint in it and a lr carto and it works great on my xl v4l batts. Another tank with a different juice but still with a lr carto in it works better with a battery with more ooomph, I have been using that one on my lavatube.

For the leaks, check the flanged part of your tank with the end caps. Is the flanged part with the right end cap? One has a space for the flange and the other end cap does not. Is the flange all the way in? I bet this is the prob.

The end cap has been all the way in when it has happened but its a possibility I could have pushed the tank up or something. I've tried both my tanks on my xl and neither want to work. I've had my bf try to see if maybe im doing it wrong, but considering its pretty hard to mess up something that screws on and off I've figured out its not me lol. The xl works with a regular carto but since I seem to have a heavier drawl I prefer the tank.

It could be the connector on the carto is not making contact with the battery. You could try GENTLY pulling/ twisting the connector on the carto battery end out a touch. When using your PV make absolute sure juice does not get on the battery as it will damage the batt. As for the leaking it could be your juice is watery/ high PG.

I've read the Ego is good for tank usage.
The eGos that come with the tank system also have reported leakage problems. My best advice is to a buy a stronger PV and either add a carto/ tank to it or a clearomizer. Prolly 90% of problems encountered with PVs is directly related to the delivery system- carto, cartridge with atomizer, carto/ tank, tank, clearomizer and usually can easily be resolved.
Good Luck.

I use an ego with a 510-510 shorty adapter, and then a 510 to 808 adapter. The shorty helps avoid any dripping down through. The 808's are handy, but the 900ma ego passthru is just so damn convenient! :)

If you're near a PC, consider getting a 901 manual passthru and a 901-808 adapter. (the 901 manual passthrus are usually sealed, so no drip-through problems.)

I love the ego from V4L and I love the tank. But using the tank on a titan battery seems to somewhat out preform the ego. Not sure why but it is only a little difference. I Love the fact that the ego can last all day vs the titan a few hours.

The V4L cig style batteries are not regulated if I remember correctly. Which means off the charger it would read about 4.1 volts. If V4L eGos are like most eGos, then it would be regulated at 3.4 volts no matter how much charge is on it. So its very possible that a car to feels like it has more oomph on a standard battery opposed to the eGo. More volts=more heat and thus stronger throat hit and more vapor
