Best vaping yet - thanks to you all!

I'm sitting here vaping nahler High Voltage French Vanilla Coffee on my new passthru and on a new (and nicely prepped) atty with a straw mod and it's my best vaping I've ever had!! The taste, throat hit and vapor are all awesome. And thanks to the straw mod - haven't topped off yet in over 10 draws - so I finally got it working right.

Yeah, this vaping can be a pain in the ... to figure out, but holy cow - once you get all of the stars and planets aligned the right way - it's all worth it!!

Just wanted to put a shout out to all of the people on this forum for taking the time and effort to find these "fixes" and sharing their great ideas with the rest of us! My perfect vape today is all a credit to YOU!

And of course, to Drew, for it just wouldn't be the same without his great liquids and his generosity!!

Might help to remind him that smoking kills your taste buds. As he vapes more things WILL taste differently. I love flavors now that used to be yucky.

You might ask Lotus to share his remod of the PTB mod or post a link to it because I cant remember where I read it...But it will change your entire vaping experience one again...

Yeah, we've determined that he wants a MUCH stronger menthol taste than he ever had with real Newports. I made a concoction of nhaler HV nuport, unflavored 60mg (several drops added to the bottle) and a few crystals. It seems to be "close" he says. I think a little more crystals may do the trick.

He liked this brand we got from somehwre else when we first started, but it was 18mg. He still craved analogs. So, I need to get good menthol with a higher nicotine content. I thought drew's 24mg Nuport would do the trick, but it still wasn't menthol enough. I thought the HV would give him the added throat kick, but it's only 12mg. So, I think the combo of the HV + menthol crystals + 60mg to bring it up to 24/26mg will be the ticket!!

Drew, I literally put about 4 1/16" (maybe a little smaller) menthol crystals in the 6ml Nuport HV sampler you sent me and he said it was "OK" and then "pretty good" when I added about 10 drops of 60mg unflavored. He needs KICK ... menthol! LOL! I look forward to seeing what you c an come up with!! Menthol drops would be nice to get from you, too - it's so random with the crystal sizes. If I hit that magic spot, it may be hard to recreate again without exact amounts, you know?

Nevermind - that was a "My PTB is DIFFERENT from yours" and it was about the bags being different regionally. I'd like to see that PTB mod mod, lol.

I'm going to pick up a camera that'll do decent macros and post some pics as soon as I have time.

It seems like a lot of trouble but I can make a new one now in about a minute. And no mine aren't shredded.

But if the straw mod is working great for you, stick with it. They're kinda tricky to get right too. Everyone has a favorite PV and their own way of making it work for 'em.

I'm just glad you're getting some good vaping going now.

The straw mod seems to be working, but I still really want to try the PTB mod. I'd love to see your original thread while you're working on the new pics!

I'd love to see your version of PTB mod too!!

I use the PTB just carpet rolled and folded - it works but I haven't tried the other methods yet.

The straw.... LOVE the straw. I too had issues with it until Drew mentioned it needed to be UP to provide air. I could never figure out why sometimes I would FLOOD... Duh, the straw at the bottom would flood. Now that I keep the straw up I'm going for hours without topping up!!! Awesome!
