What would you recommend as the best Vaporizer, mod, tank, etc. for a beginner?

I don't need anything as fancy as a Provari (at least not yet lol).

I'm just looking for something more powerful than a cig a like that produces good tasting, consistent vapor and something that is easy to maintain and use.

Any and all suggestions would be appreciated.

I have looked at some already, such as those on the vaporfi site. There are so many people here that have a lot more experience than me though, so thought I'd ask.

Thanks in advance. :)

I think an MPV2 and a nautilus mini will be the best choice for ease of use and decent performance,

Vision spinner 2 is a nice pen battery. Pro- tanks are solid. The more you get into vaping the more ull learn about rdas and rbas. The kayfun is a solid tank. But dont think it will run on a vision lol. Gotta get a mechanical for that.

It will run on a spinner, you just need to build it at the right resistance. It does look a little funny though lol.

This is a 26650 Kayfun, so it won't be that bad, but still!

Relaxed99, I started with the cig-a-like (hated it) then went to an ego with protank 2 mini (liked it ok), then I tried an ego twist with protank2 mini (loved it) , the twist give you the ability to change the voltage (I could taste flavors better) and price is not prohibitive (if you shop around internet). I have since moved to a I-taste SVD (got lucky at the casino) I like it better than the ego twist, has more power. I-Taste SVD is a large device compared to the ego twist setup, look for something that you are comfortable with. Best of luck to you

I would go with something like the itaste vv v3 cause it's pretty cheap and you have a lot of options for a beginner. It's variable voltage and variable wattage (it might take you a while to get into watts) and shows you things like how many volts left on your battery, puff counter, and what volts you are Vaping at. Protank 2 and evods work great on this device.

I am new also but have a different opinion when starting out new stuff.

When I started out (just past few weeks) I put aside a budget equivalent of what I would spend on cigarettes in a month... Which is about $300.

Reasons
- the good stuff is rarely cheap, true for both equipment and liquids
- now that I m betting w my bottom dollar, I will just have to spend the time learning how to get it done right (coiling, calculating safe resistance, etc)
- and since the budget is gone, I will just have to stick to it for this month, good or bad, one month to bang at it till I get it right.

Well $300 won't get you a full kit with top of the line stuff like provari but it will allow you more range in equipment or more $ to try the many many juice flavors out there.

About 300 you say? In fact that will get you about the best stuff on the market. First off learn to build and get a kayfun, they're one of the best bang for the buck in terms of performance (if you want the real thing and not a clone). As a power supply you have a few options:
1. If you're not a chain-vaper you can take the vaporshark, the battery lasts anywhere from 6 to 12 hours depending on how much you puff. It's under $200.
2. If you notice your habit is changing from less puffs on high nic to more puffs on medium or low nic (like me and a lot of us) then you'll want something with more battery life. Try my setup of an asgard DNA30, a bit over $200.
3. Find whatever variable wattage mod would really work well for you.

The reason i'm recommending setups with built in batteries is because it saves money and the hassle of finding the right batteries and learning how to deal with them. I'd like to stress that no newbie needs this to quit, but if you want to spend this amount of money it's the best I can come up with.

Actually, a ProVari kit is $212.95, but personally I think it's kind of overkill for a beginner just testing the waters. Obviously, I think it's a fabulous device, but for beginners I always recommend they get a solid mid-priced battery and spend the majority of their budget on different styles of toppers and juice.

I would second the MVP 2.0 starter kit. I started on a vision spinner 2 with iClear30... I grew out of that pretty quick haha. Went up to the MVP before making the switch to more advanced VW and mechs. The MVP isn't a pen though like the vision spinner. The MVP has much more capability than a vision spinner though. MVP 2.0 has variable wattage as well as voltage. Goes to 5V or 11W. Has a built in ohm reader and the batter in that thing is amazing. You can vape while it's charging too. It's my recommended battery to all new comers. It even has a sweet little chord that comes with it that allows you to charge your phone off of it lol

My suggestion for the best starter set up would be the MVP V2 mated to a Protank variant. MVP for it's battery life, VV/VW, and power band, and the Protank variant for the cost effective coils, and the ability to get into rebuilding them later of the person so desires. It's a great all-around starter.

I would stay away from eGo set ups only for the fact that most people start with them and soon after kick themselves for not going to the MVP or it's little sister, the VV3 first.
