Are you using a tank though? Dry hits sort of become a possibility, because tanks don't usually wick max VG too great, although I've had some pretty decent luck with the SubTank thus far.
My setup is a iStick 30w with the innokin isub tank... has worked pretty well so far, and I am considering upgrading to the innokin isub G (glass versus poly... another discussion for another post?)

I've never used the Innokin iSub, but I can 100% recommend glass over poly, and I think most people will too.
The polyethylene/polystyrene/plastic tanks tend to break down depending on the juice you put in. People have even reported "leeching" where the tank kind of bleeds plastic into the juice. Overall, I'd say skip any potential hassle and go to glass. For sure. 100%.
I've never met anyone recommend a plastic tank over a glass.
100% VG works just fine in a Freemax Starre. 100% VG, 70W, puff after puff after puff without the slightest hint of a dry hit. Don't even bother trying it in a Kanger Subohm though, especially if you chain vape. I don't think I would try anything higher than 80% VG in the Innokin iSub.

It depends, I've used 50/50 in a sub ohm tank. I've used 100% of my DIY unflavored in a subohm tank if it can handle it. Every subohm tank I've used can easily handle 80vg/20pg. I prefer less pg. The less the better personally.
