Hey all, just curious on what YOU think is the best VV tube mod under $120 and why? Just curious what everyone thinks as Christmas is coming up and the way we do it is everyone gets one present from the family.

I was looking at the LavaTube, but they aren't out yet? Anyone know what would be the best VV mod?

Not sure if I'll get one, but ya never know! I always like to learn! Thanks guys!

Notcigs Infinity Pro. Base unit with charger and initial pair of batteries is $110. Add the second set of batts to be just under $120. Don't forget to use the "ECF Buzzkill" coupon code.

It's a proven design, same circuit used in the Buzz Pro and Infinity Pro. Very solid unit, excellent customer service.

Voltage range is 3.5 - 5.5V, maximum of 15W (you can use a 1.5 ohm DC at up to 4.7V), higher power than the higher priced units, though I don't go much above 10W usually.

Design simplicity, a simple dial to rotate to adjust voltage and the button to fire it.

Positive off function by slightly unscrewing the cap -- it breaks the circuit.

No bells and whistles, it doesn't read resistance, open your garage door, etc., it just provides hours of operation, at whatever voltage you set it at, and is easy to use.

I get 6 - 7 ml of vaping between battery changes on the original Infinity and Buzz Pro, Inifinity Pro should be the same.

My original Infinity has taken a beating, many drops onto concrete. Buzz is well known for making durable devices.

An excellent unit, excellent price.

Yep. The Lava Tube is a good kit. They're just sold out right now at a lot of sites. They'll be more coming in, eventually.

So, I just looked at the link and noticed they're just selling the mod with no accessories. Make sure you get 2 18650 batteries, a li-on charger and 2.5 - 3.0 ohm cartomizers for it. It'll work with lower-resistance cartomizers, but circuit protection will lower the voltage so it doesn't go over 2.5 amps.

You can get good batteries and a charger at rtdvapor.com, supertmanufacturing.com or lighthound.com. MadVapes also carries those items, but they're lower quality; I would recommend AW IMR batteries where you have a choice.

I don't need no stankin VV.
    I gotta Saber Touch w/ 2 18350 runnin 7.4v with a 1.25ohm carto.
Cough, Cough.... Not that's a Hit!

*cough* I'll say. It sounds like you've got a nice roaring fire going under your juice.

Fresh off the charger, those batts are running at 8.4 volts!

In that price range I'd say Infinity Pro. Buzz Pro will come in slightly above that price point, but is pretty much the exact same mod in a different form factor (Buzz is shorter and fatter, Infinity is long and slim)

Why? Performance is awesome, ease of use couldn't get any easier, good battery life in all atty/voltage combinations I've used and the vendor support for their product is top-notch. All around I think these are excellent bang for your buck. Even if there were no price consideration, I would still consider those two to be a couple of the best VV mods out there :vapor:

The infinity pro is from notcigs.com. Notcigs made the original vv, the Buzz.

Infinity came out end of last year, or early this year, switching to a wheel user interface instead of a small screwdriver to adjust voltage.

The buzz pro came out in july, infinity pro in sept, they share the same circuitry.

Very good products, well known durability, a good number of them fielded.

I prefer tube mods, just like the form factor.

This is funny! I've never heard of the infinity Pro! Is this better than the lavatube?

Sometimes I wonder if those box mods with the little bottle in them are better than a tube mod? Anyone agree or disagree?

Here is an I-Pro & a Buz Pro side by side

IMO it's a more effective way of doing it. The wheels are marked in three places (min, max and center which is about 4.5 volts), so it's easy to have a rough idea of where you are, but no matter whether I'm going by "feel" or by setting a number I still fine-tune my hit after the initial setting either way. Not having a display cuts down a lot on the parts and labor, which is part of what keeps the costs down. Frankly, for the way I vape I don't need a screen anyway ;-)

Are VV worth the $100-$200? How much better is your vaping experience?

That all depends on the individual. What works best for one person somebody else will hate. There are people that will never move beyond an eGo or a little ciggie-size device and if that's what satisfies them, that's great! For me, most of the higher priced mods I've tried have been well worth the cost, but it's all very personal and subjective ;-)

Vv was a plus to me, I really like adjusting power on the run to dial in just what I'm looking for at the moment.

I'd say lavatube is still in the product intro phase, brand new design, while infinity is more mature, had time to work out kinks across several generations of design, decent number of buzz' vv products in the field. If someone already had the batts and charger for lt, cool, but if you will end up at a price best the ip, the ip is likely a better bet. If the lcd is a must have, the lt is a much better price than the other lcd units out there.
