I now know how to clean my attys and cartridges, but what is the best way to get the screw top of the batteries cleaned? I try getting down there with a paper towel, but there is still gunk building up in the tiniest areas. What is the best way of cleaning the batteries? All of my batteries are fully sealed manuals. Thanks!

I use 151 vodka to clean everything. I use a Qtip with it on the 510 battery well and sometimes follow up with a toothpick to get the bottom ring. Paper towel/vodka on the outside of the atty threads. I avoid isopropyl alcohol because it reacts with silicone (it's a silicone remover) and the atty center posts sit in silicone.
