Sorry, i am new to the eGo-T, i just got a brand new atty, and am looking for the best prep for it before i start using it.

also, if you want to throw in some tips on cleaning dirty attys, that would be appreciated too. i tried leaving mine in ipa (91 or 92% i think) for an hour, let it dry out for a couple days, and its harder to draw on than it was before i think

I generally blow out the new atties (from both sides) until most of the primer comes out. Then I use a Q-tip to wipe out any remaining primer. After I do that, I'll wet the battery connection end with pure pg (I put a few drops in until they go through to the other side of the coil/wick). I also put several drops on the atty itself, vape, and then I add some more drops.

Always remember to wet both sides of the atty after cleaning, especially if you use an alcohol bath to clean it.

It is also good to have spare atties so that you can rotate them for cleaning. An alcohol bath once a week, followed by a 48 hour dry period, is a great way to clean skirted atties like the Ego-T. I would recommend at least two full ego-t units and two spare atties for anyone using the tank system.

Blowing out the atty to get rid of the primer then I rinse with very hot distilled or filtered water,(filling from the top and allowing to drain two or three times), then soak in crest prohealth mouthwash for a an hour or two. Rinse with hot distilled or filtered water with same method as above, let dry, fill tank and enjoy. :D Hope this helps ya out a bit.

Twilight Zone
I just blow a new one out onto a paper towel until no more primer comes out, drop a couple of drops of juice on the needle, pop a cart full of juice in and puff without inhaling until the primer taste is gone. I tried the alcohol thing but it didn't work to well for me. I've only had to clean one in a month of 30% vg juice so I researched it on this forum and on you tube and tried this after the alcohol thing failed me.
Bought a baby nasal bulb from Wally's infant section for $2 and cut the tip off until it fit snug in the atty.
Put a denture tab in really hot water and left the atty in until it cooled. About 30 min.
Stuck the baby syringe in and held the bat end under the water then powerflushed it in both directions for a while, sucking the water into the syringe and pushing it back out.
Changed to clean hot water and flushed back and forth, changed water and rinsed again, pulling the water through the bat end and pushing it back out.
Took it out of the water and kept on with the dry syringe until it was fairly dry and nothing else would come out.
Driped a couple of drops on the needle and popped a tank in. After about 10 to 20 hits it started tasting pretty good. I think it took longer to type this than the whole process except for the soaking time. Hope this helps someone. I had thought the atty dead and was already vaping on a new one but the old one seems to work equally as well now. I've had great luck with the ego-t system and even if this atty hadn't come back I would have chaulked the price off as cheaper than analogs.
