whats the best way to clean your carts / mouthpieces?
i have used boiling water for ~5 secs, but i have ruined some this way boiling them too long.

for attys i have been using hi grade rubbing alcohol. i use the method posted by one of the users here, via his youtube video. 10-15 minute IPA soak and 2 day dryout. works pretty good but I am still getting very little flavor out of my liquids and it doesnt take too long before my attys are hitting poorly like they were before the cleaning. im not against doing a little atty modification but the least intrusive, the better for me, cuz ive already ruined a couple attys trying to push the wick down.

thanks all!

I just wash out the mouthpieces and carts like any normal washing up and give them a good rince out.

Atty cleaning is a bit more time consuming. I dont pop off the spike plate now cos my attys are the metal wick version and it doesnt make any difference, having tested cleaning with and without the spike plate in place. I'd pop the plate off and rince the wick out separately if you've got the other type tho. Anyway I rince the atty out, dry, dry burn, cool, rince, dry, dry burn, rince, dry, then dry burn before reusing. Letting it dry out completely each time and blowing down the mouthpiece while dry burning to assist the burning process.
These attys seem quite robust and can take a good burn without burning out imo. I've had them on for multiple 10 second blasts and they've not failed but I wouldn't reccommend doing that every time, making it turn red hot to scorch the residue on the coil should be enough.
Having a couple on rotation is a good idea, so you can clean 1 over a few days (with all the rincing and drying) and another actually in use.

Also when you're about to use the freshly cleaned atty, prime it first by putting a couple of drop of juice in the atty. That'll make the atty wet and your good hits won't take to long to come back. After I prime my atty, I take a couple of small drags without inhaling and take a long drag to taste it, making sure that it's good to go.
