First question outside New Members' Forum, so not sure if I'm in the right place, but here goes...

I have spent all I have right now to get my current collection, but in doing research and seeing results for myself, I think I was actually spending less by just washing/reusing my V2 EX Blanks clearos. But, they burn too hot. What I THINK will be a reasonable solution (I'm a bit of a chain vaper) is a mech mod with some kind of rebuildable atomizer, preferably an RTA. I think this will save me $ by allowing me to rebuild/clean most parts myself, and a cheap mech mod from China will be all I can afford in the near future, and I won't even be able to get one of those til next month, LOL. Oh, and then there's the batteries and chargers and rebuilding material... So yeah, whatever I end up doing I just want to make sure as much as possible that it's gonna work for me.

BUT I'm also interested in mixing my own juice- I have an ADV that I really like, and if I could just find the recipe (ECBlends Thin Mint) I wouldn't have to spend AS much in getting started.

I just want to get this down to where I'm able to vape semi-chain style without too much recurring expense. If you could suggest which route I should take first- mech mod/rebuildable atomizer of some sort OR save money towards getting started making my own liquid- I'd really appreciate it. Right now I'm using primarily my Innokin vv v3 with the i16 clearos that came with it. They just don't deliver the flavor very well, and seems like I'm burning through a lot more liquid with those and the carto tank I got at the same time (vapor-mania.com $14 hand blown borosilicate SALE!). I don't care so much about "clouds" as I do a good tasting hit.

Before you answer- yes, it's all less expensive than the nasties, and I'm SO grateful for that, but something came up and I sure as heck couldn't afford to do that anymore. I am working toward getting access to the classifieds, and as I said it will be a while before I can get anything new anyway, so just keep the suggestions coming and I'll keep my reseach going and hopefully a plan will be established. Thank you all so much!!

xoxo

DIY and rebuildables. invest in a good device, the provari or a high quality dna by a reputable builder if you like regulated. If mechs are your thing, I personally say go clones, but that's up to you. Some clones are junk, others are just as good as the originals. EHPro or Hcigar make the best clones. Make sure you buy a high quality charger and the right batteries too. Sony vtc4 can be had for $8 a pop in the states, and even less from china
I say do the DIY first. Its pretty easy, if you can make brownies you can mix liquid. you just have to take proper safety precautions as concentrated nicotine is toxic
An easy way to get your DIY on without much risk, is to buy juice at a higher nic and cut it down. This works best with vendors that offer extra flavor. For example, Mt Baker. Say you vape 12mg, get a bottle as pure pg as you can and max out the flavor shots. Order it 36mg. then get a bottle of anhydrous vegetable glycerin from CVS or the like, and mix it 10 parts juice, 29 parts vg, 1 part distilled water. You just cut your cost per mg to less than half

You could probably save even more money by just keeping your iTaste VV and learning to rebuild Kanger single coil heads. I would personally suggest you just pick up a Protank 2 Mini or an EVOD and rebuild the heads. Kanthal and cotton are really cheap.

If you must go down the mech and RTA route, I'm sure there will be 100 people to come in and say Nemesis and a Kayfun; and honestly, it's hard to disagree when you can find them both for $30. Of course you'll still need batteries and a charger, so you could easily slap another $25 to $35.

As far as DIY goes, start small and only get a few flavors. Practice recipes without nicotine and see what you can do before you make a big purchase. If you like the results then you could end up paying less than $1.50 on a 30ml bottle of juice.

I disagree quite a bit here. a protank + heads will be $15+ even from china. A pulse g will run you $12 from fasttech. and the rubbers wear out, coil heads can be easily lost. And the real deal is so much better. just do it right from the start.

I haven't tried the kayfun, but my hcigar nemesis is made of win. Hcigar kraken is my favorite atty so far.

1. Start reading the DIY Juice section here at ECF
2. Start watching Youtube vids on building coils.
3. If you have an Android device download Vaper's Toolbox for building coils.

You can rebuild the heads of something like an ARO, ProTank or EVOD to get started in rebuilding. You can pick one of those up cheap.

That's a great suggestion! Thank you so much!! I need to find a site a little cheaper that offers higher than 24mg but thanks for the formula. Actually, I think Vape Mall offers the higher nic strength, and free flavor shots. 30ml is their biggest bottle, but at 6.99 with 15% off and free shipping, it would still work out to be a lot cheaper that way. I hope they continue their 15% off.
