Cheap DIY 5v Box Mod Help?

I want to make a box mod and ive been reading up on how to do it because my 3.7v box mod doesnt satisfy me that much. So i plan to sell that one to a buddy of mine that wants to get into vaping and make the 5v for my self. He likes the 3.7v any way. My question is does any buddy know if radioshack carries 5v 3 amp regulator with control pin? and mini circuit boards? i guess ill have to check unless somebody knows for sure. hopefully i can make this for under $15 but probably not cause i want to use 14500 batteries unless i can fit 18650s in a 4x"AA" box. i guess for now ill stick with these rechargeable 2300 mAH "AA" batteries have.. it doesnt help that i dont know if any B&M vape shops have 510 connectors. i took a connector of a cheap 510 ecig i had laying around, it was a pain to get out but it works! im trying to keep this build on the cheap untill i get my financial aid money in i hope yall can help! feel free to give share some tips and tricks! thanks! and im using the mad vapes 5 volt box mod instruction how to, as a reference.

I have not seen any regulator above 2A at Radioshack. I believe most are around the 1A area.

You could also stack your batteries and run them through a resistor, old school style
