ok so for those who are fans of the reo... mechanical mods bother me, the lack of a safety feature... not knowing how low my batteries are... these are the things that i need the help to overcome to be interested in the reo... so please try to sway me, i am interested in why mech wouldnt be a bad idea...

1.) "The lack of safety-feature" ; The Reo has a collapsable spring fuse. In the event that there is a short resulting in amperage exceeding it, the battery will drop breaking the connection. It works. I had a steel drip tip that went to far down into my RM2, made contact with the postive post that caused a short, and that collapsed the spring. SAFETY!

2.) "Not knowing how low my batteries are" ; I always leave with a fresh battery when going out. I've never had a problem with one lasting the day. You know when to switch out batteries because the vape will drastically decline all of the sudden. But really, most mech users never get to that point. A battery routine is a simple and mindless thing to handle. Also, having one of these is cheap;

Just leave it chillin' by your charger. Measure the resistance of your builds with it. Accurately check the voltage of your batteries with it before you head out.

Super_X_Drifter made a nice intro to Reo video, and I post it all the time because it does a pretty good job at explaining the Reo without me typing a book...

There are some people that just don't like the Reo, some people that don't want to be bothered with rebuildables, and some people that cannot afford one; but most anybody who owns one and likes it pretty much ditches everything else they own in short time.

I don't use anything other than my Reos.

Just to throw something else into the mix, if you like the flavour of dripping, but a Reo is a bit expensive - why not have a look at the Vmod.

Vapage V-MOD XL

I take a Vmod XL and a Vmod 2.0 to work with me during the day. Similar principle to a Reo, it's a bottom feeder. I've been using my first Vmod for 7 months every day at work and I'm only on my 3rd atty in this one.

I do have a Reo too, but that stays at home. I love the Reo, but I'd be gutted if I lost it at work, so the cheaper Vmods come to work with me. Vapage are always having sales too.

I use my MVP and IGO L dripper every where. It`s battery last me 2 day plus it`s made solid and have dropped on concrete and picked up and wipe it off and kept vaping. Maybe I got lucky but I love this set it work great for me. I work in a steel mill I go from hot to cold every part of my day. To give you an idea how hot it gets where not allowed to carry butane type lighter because they have burst on people because of the heat where around and caused injuries. Just my two cents good luck

I use a twist and an evod. Stealth vape for me.

Ditto for me. Something like that is the ultimate on the go/stealth/work setup in my opinion.
I essentially always have an ego w/ mini protank in my pocket. Most of the time the battery is an Evod Twist 650mAh. The smallest I go is an eGo-C 650.
I normally have a mod with Kayfun Lite in my bag, for when I go to the smoking area for a coffee break, or when I want to drop a cloud.

So I would like to start with a hearty thank you. I may not be able to afford a reo now, but maybe tax time, maybe around the middle of the year or so, if i decide that I really want a reo, i will be able to get one. i certainly thank you on the safety precautions that you shared.

My understanding of mechs has been that there are no safety features, and its not that I am not cautious or careful, but there are times (stressful times/a lot going on/hectic times) where my caution and care, may not be present, where i may not be actively paying attention to things I should be. This is the main reason I have avoided mechs avidly. so again i thank you for sharing with me that, my battery will let me know by not performing well at all... that if i have a short, the reo has a safety and will not fire...

and i guess if i am really concerned i could carry my svd with me to check the volts while on the go, if i wanted that safety... now if only to try a reo before making the switch...

everything i have heard, great, the concept great, just want to hold one, and experience it myself now...

thanks again
