I cant remember the name of the carto but I bought them about 2 years ago. I took it apart and the way it was wired was the positive was soldered onto the first coil, from the first coil no resist wire was clamped on and ran to the second coil then the negative was ran back to the base. I bought alot of off-brand stuff back then so no telling what it was.

huh. Every one Ive taken apart had the positive nr wire up to the middle of the carto then one coil below with its neg leg soldered to the base and one coil above with a nr wire that came back down and soldered to the same place on the base as the leg from the bottom coil. And I think they used little metal crimps or something to attach the wires too but I forget - its been a long time since then. I guess sometimes you just never know LOL
