Hi there Butrfly. Congrats on your quitting analogs. You sure did it quickly. The same thing you're going through happened to me. I ordered some small juice samples (3ml & 4.5ml) from cignot when i placed an order with them. The problem is that my taste buds and sense of smell aren't fully back yet. Takes time. So I didn't really enjoy them with one exception. The Ahneeda Fruit -- orange/tangerine flavor was really good and stronger than the others. You said your mom orders from them, so if she may have orderd that flavor, ask her for a coupla drops. The juice suppliers DIY Flavorshack, Ms. T's, and Tasty Vapor seem to be very popular with a lot of members. I like Tasty Vapor's butter rum and atomic cinnacide since I can actually taste them. But CaptJay has a good idea about going to the eJuice reviews on this site. There's also a newly-formed social group on ECF -- a juice sample trading group originated by DC2. He'll even send you some little empty plastic bottles. That might be a way to find a better flavor until your taste buds regenerate somewhat. And welcome to ECF -- happy vaping.

Hi Seabrook,

Thanks for the info! Since you brought up me quitting so quickly, I do have a confession to make..lol I did go out on Thursday and with everyone around me smoking analogs, I could resist...I ended up having 3 of them throughout the night, woke up the next morning with my lungs hurting, which hadn't happened once since vaping...Soooo, I'm done with them. They tasted horrible too, not like they used to taste.

Wow, that tasting group is REALLY a good idea! That would be awesome to be able to trade different samples of flavors to people to see what you like. I'm going to look into that for sure!

I think I might have to try that atomic cinnacide, I've seen quite a few posts about that one. I got a cinnamon danish flavor, but I don't really taste cinnamon, it kind of tastes like I'm licking a stick of butter...lol

Thanks for all of the help!

Hello!

I would normally recommend Vapor4Life but cannot at the present time because they are in the midst of adding new flavors and some old flavors have changed so their 5ml bottles may not taste like their 30ml bottles so I wouldn't want you to buy a small 5ml bottle and love it and not get the same flavor from their larger bottles.

That being said their 30ml bottles are $12.50 - 10% OFF (w/coupon code SMILIN) = $11.25 which is an INSANELY good price for 30ml

So my recommendation is MyFreedomSmokes.com in terms of selection, price and flavor. I have yet to buy a flavor from them that didn't taste what I thought it would taste like. If you like Cinnamon I HIGHLY recommend their Cinnamon Roll.

One thing that is important to know is that while it is annoying and costly to try a bunch of different juices it really is worth it when you find one you like AND you can swap or sell the ones you don't like on the classifieds sub-forum.

DIYFlavorshack is also excellent but a bit pricey for larger bottles.

Good Luck!

Hi Yanks,

Thanks for the info. I got 2 30mL bottles (peanut butter cup and dark chocolate raspberry) from V4L, didn't like either of them much. But, everyone keeps telling me to wait a few weeks and I might like them later on...I think I need to stick with the plain flavors, instead of the exotic ones, for now.

Still trying to figure out who I'm going to order from next, it is SO confusing! I'm sitting in front of 4 30mL bottles of juice that I don't want to touch, so I'm a bit intimidated to place another order. So far, the money I've spent for all of my start-up supplies have been more money than what I would have paid for analogs. But, I'm sure once I get everything together, in the long run this will be cheaper. :)

No problem - what is a problem at the end of the day is not only is taste so SUBJECTIVE as it is but our tastebuds are also at different stages of repair. I actually ate a shrimp dish a few weeks ago that I've been eating for about 10 years and commented on how spicy it was this time and I was told: it's ALWAYS been like that. I had NO IDEA.

One thing to keep in mind is just because you like to eat something doesn't mean you'll like vaping it. I LOVE to eat Butterfinger candy but did not like vaping TastyVapor's version: TastyFinger AND I don't eat Cinnamon Rolls but I love vaping it.

At least you have your BF to share flavors with so a flavor you may not like they will and vice-versa.

I've only tried a DeKang liquid once. It wasn't for me. I just meant that, although more and more places are selling liquid from small suppliers or their own custom places, an awful lot of places carry DeKang. It's like buying Maxwell House coffee. You either like it or you don't and, if you don't like the can you bought at Shop Rite, you're not going to like it any better if you buy it from Krogers.

I haven't given up on Chocolate, but if you're having trouble finding a flavor you like, it makes sense to start with the basics. Plenty of time to experiment with the more difficult flavors later.

If your mother bought liquid from Cignot, you'll have a chance to try VG. They carry some 100% VG and some PG/VG blends. I don't think they have any 100% PG.

Ok, so I decided that I'm going to order from Tasty Vapor. I need to get some juice that I know I'm going to like, since I got exotic flavors that I wasted my money on and am still in need of juice in the NEAR future. I haven't tried any VG juices yet, and I haven't had any problems with the PG, so I think I'm just going to stick with that for now.

I'm definitely going to get the Menthol flavor. I already know that I enjoy cherry vape, so I was going to get that as well but it seems that TV doesn't have cherry. :( Sooooo, I was wondering if anyone tried the Amaretto Stone Sour or the Almond Horn? If so, which of the two would you say is better? Do they taste anywhere near cherry? (I ask because I know almond extract and amaretto both smell & taste like cherry, so I figure that the almond might as well).

I think I'm going to order two bottles from TV. I really want to try the atomic cinnacide because everyone says that its great, but because I already had a flub with a cinnamon danish I think I'm just going to go with a menthol and cherry-ish flavor.

Hate to say it, but you really just need to keep trying. We all end up w/ flavors & brands we don't care for. Run the numbers against analogs and any waste turns out to be very little. As someone else advised, other opinions don't matter much - taste is highly individual (unless you come across something that people tend to universally like or dislike - and I haven't). For example, Tasty Vapors liquids burn my throat, but many people like them. It isn't the flavoring or vehicle (even unflavored in pure VG burns), so I deduce it must be the type of nicotine. Johnson Creek, also rec. above, I've had generally good luck with. Their quality control seems to be high and they appear to be a substantial company (not a one-man garage operation, like many). Some flavors, like swiss dark, tend to clog atomizers. They sell BOTH PG & VG based. Johnson Creek is a good bet to try. As mentioned above, a sampler is a real good way to go.
