Hi all,

been a member for long time here but I dont post too much. If you browse my previous posts you will notice that I am, as many of you, very careful on what liquids I smoke and I dont buy everything I can get my hands on.
This is why I feel obligated to share with you my finding about this latest company I liked and ordered from, ATMOS LAB. Also, there arent many independent reviews about this company so thats another reason (accent on INDEPENDENT).

What I liked about them is that they are all about purity and full disclosure of what their products contain.

Here are my impressions after just receiving "PURE" bases of PG and VG from them:

1. Take a look at this picture: http://img707.imageshack.us/img707/4885/rt2q.jpg

Brown stuff you see right around the paper/plastic cover which comes under cap of the bottle is none other than GLUE!!! I can only imagine how much of GLUE has spilled into the bottle. Even if its same amount of the glue that spilled out side as on picture... What would that do to me if I was to smoke a mixture of PG and GLUE in any percentage?!

2. Take a look on their site: http://atmoslab.com

They have "PURE" bases and MIX bases. Since I dont want anyone adding water into my juices and mixing it how they feel its the best I ordered "PURE" bases. What I got in those "PURE" bases is PG, Nicotine aaaaaaand WATER.
If you check the link of the product I got, is there anywhere any sign of water mentioned? YES I know most companies add distilled water into bases (my fav supplier does it also), but my problem is, if its there and you are yelling we disclose everything, then say its there. Dont call it pure when its mixed with water.

PROPYLENE GLYCOLE - PG PURE BASE 18MG | atmoslab.com

So in conclusion, this company pays very little attention to the purity as they would like us to believe with their certificates, or to our health (cmon being so careless with glue). Further more, they do not publish all their ingredients on the website (putting water into a base they call PURE and not publishing it on website).

I have never seen more irresponsibility from a company which promotes health (still cant get over the glue)

I advise you all to steer clear from this company.

Here are answers I got from the online shop which forwarded me answer form ATMOS LAB:

"1)Who said it is GLUE? Glue has the meaning of a toxic chemical diluted with a toxic solvent. We do not use any of these.
This is a polymer used in induction sealing package. After heating with hypersonic waves, this polymer melts and afterwards becomes stable. It does not react with anything, it does not have holes, it does not have smell, it does not get dissolved to anyone of our products."

My take on this reply is, its not a question if this sticky compound (which I called glue and I stand by it cause this is rock solid, will do video review before I ship them products back) is actually getting into juice base, its more arguing that its not toxic so if it is in your base its not going to do anything to you... WOW

"2) The water is mentioned clearly in the label of the product. Atmos Lab does not sell products retail. The PG purity percentage I mention (99,7%+) is obviously for the PG used to make the base. And the obvious reason is simple: 1.8%+99.7%=101.5% which can not be. What I say in my website is simple: I use EP-USP pure PG for this base."

A bit condescending reply but whatever... Here it is said that PG used in base is pure, but no where does it say ( and option is left ) how much DW is added to that same pure PG.

I would like some of you who read this to share your opinion on these replies maybe I misunderstood them.

1. If you are going to present "evidence", perhaps you should make the extra effort to take a photo that isn't blurry?

2. Did you submit this compound to a chemical testing facility for analysis? No? So we are to trust your expert opinion on what grounds? Hardened tree sap looks like glue. And what does "glue" look like? It comes in many colors and consistencies.

3. If you find the terms "pure" and "distilled water" to be antithetical, then I question your education and your ability to reason in a logical manner.

Most ridiculous slandering of a product in a forum rife with undeserved mudslinging. And then, to add injury to insult, you accuse them of being condescending. Their condescension was on target and justly deserved.

In previous post you will see that manufacturer it self says its polymer sealant. In any case, I wont mention glue anymore since as you say I am guilty of not taking it to analyses, instead its polymer sealant.

So if they ship me PURE PG base with 51% of PUREST of the pure PG and 49% distilled water in 100ml bottle that can be called PURE PG?
What you dont understand is if you say PURE PG then it means that it is up to a reasonable percentage pure of anything else other than the very thing you proclaim it to be. Since I sense you might be in need of explanation with images, let me also explain to you this way. You have 99.7% alcohol. Although not 100% its called pure alcohol. Add distilled water (which IS pure THING) and you no longer have PURE alcohol. Hopefully you can wrap your mind around this.
